Jakarta – Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) mempercepat pelaksanaan program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Dalam Jabatan untuk guru madrasah dan guru agama di sekolah umum. Program ini menjadi salah satu langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi, profesionalitas, dan kesejahteraan guru. Pada tahun ini, PPG Kemenag akan dimulai pada Maret dengan target 269.168 guru, dari total 625.481 guru yang belum mengikuti PPG.
“Mulai tahun ini, kita akan akselerasi PPG guru. Langkah ini diambil untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan profesionalitas, kesejahteraan, serta kualitas guru, guna mendukung kebijakan pemerintah Prabowo-Gibran,” ujar Menteri Agama, Nasaruddin Umar, di Wajo, Jumat (10/1/2025).
Target Selesai dalam Dua Tahun
Kemenag menargetkan pelaksanaan PPG Dalam Jabatan selesai dalam waktu dua tahun. Total 625.481 guru binaan Kemenag yang belum mengikuti program PPG terdiri atas:
- 484.678 guru madrasah,
- 95.367 guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah umum,
- 29.002 guru agama Kristen,
- 11.157 guru agama Katolik,
- 4.412 guru agama Hindu,
- 689 guru agama Buddha, dan
- 179 guru agama Khonghucu.
Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam, Abu Rokhmad, menegaskan bahwa pelaksanaan PPG dilakukan melalui satu pintu, yakni Panitia Nasional PPG Kemenag, untuk memastikan koordinasi yang optimal.
“Ini juga sebagai bagian dari implementasi Moderasi Beragama. Dengan satu kepanitiaan nasional, koordinasi antarpihak menjadi lebih mudah dan terintegrasi,” jelasnya.
Tahapan dan Kriteria Peserta
Ketua Panitia Nasional PPG Kemenag, Thobib Al-Asyhar, menyebutkan bahwa PPG akan dilaksanakan dalam beberapa angkatan. Angkatan pertama dimulai pada Maret 2025 dengan target 80.000–100.000 peserta.
Berikut kriteria peserta PPG Dalam Jabatan Kementerian Agama:
- Terdaftar aktif sebagai guru di satuan administrasi pangkal (satminkal) yang tercatat dalam sistem Kemenag.
- Diangkat paling lambat 30 Juni 2023 dan aktif mengajar pada Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024.
- Memiliki kualifikasi akademik minimal S-1/D-IV sesuai dengan mata pelajaran PPG.
- Belum mencapai usia pensiun sesuai peraturan yang berlaku.
- Belum memiliki sertifikat pendidik.
- Sehat jasmani, dibuktikan dengan surat keterangan dari fasilitas kesehatan resmi.
- Seleksi administrasi berbasis data sistem Kemenag.
Prioritas Kualitas Pendidikan
Program ini diharapkan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di lingkungan Kemenag melalui peningkatan kompetensi guru. Dengan target selesai pada 2026, Kemenag optimis dapat memberikan dampak nyata pada profesionalitas guru dan mutu pendidikan.
“PPG ini adalah langkah penting untuk memperkuat fondasi pendidikan di Indonesia, khususnya di lingkungan Kementerian Agama,” pungkas Thobib.
Para guru yang memenuhi syarat diimbau segera mempersiapkan diri untuk mengikuti seleksi administrasi yang akan dilakukan dalam waktu dekat.
