    PAREPARE – Shalat Idul Fitri 1 Syawal 1446 H di Kota Parepare akan berlangsung khidmat di Lapangan Andi Makkasau, dengan kehadiran Ustadz DR H. Mustaqim Pabbajah, S.Fil, MA sebagai khatib.

    Akademisi yang juga merupakan cucu pendiri Darud Da’wah wal Irsyad (DDI), K.H Muhammad Abduh Pabbajah, ini menyatakan kebanggaannya atas kesempatan tersebut.

    “Ini momentum yang sangat berharga bagi saya, di mana nantinya saya bisa bersilaturahim dengan warga Kota Parepare. Hampir setiap tahun saya kembali ke Parepare, tetapi tentunya momentum kali ini berbeda karena saya diberikan amanah untuk menjadi Khatib Shalat Idul Fitri di Lapangan Andi Makkasau,” ujar Mustaqim Pabbajah pada Sabtu, 29 Maret 2025.

    Mustaqim Pabbajah saat ini merupakan dosen di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta serta Direktur For Research IA Scholar Yogyakarta.

    Kiprahnya dalam dunia akademik semakin mengukuhkan dirinya sebagai seorang cendekiawan Muslim yang aktif dalam penelitian sosial-keagamaan, serta hubungan antara agama dan teknologi.

    Ia juga memiliki pengalaman sebagai visiting research di University of California, Berkeley (2015) dan University of Hawaii, Amerika Serikat.

    Alumnus Universitas Islam Negeri Makassar ini menempuh studi pascasarjana di Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies (CRCS), Pascasarjana Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta.

    Saat ini, ia tengah bersiap menyandang gelar profesor sebagai puncak karier akademiknya.

    Mustaqim Pabbajah mengungkapkan rasa terima kasihnya kepada Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, serta Panitia Hari Besar Islam (PHBI) yang telah memberikan kepercayaan kepadanya untuk mengemban tugas sebagai khatib.

    “Ini merupakan kebanggaan bagi saya dan keluarga besar untuk bisa memberikan khutbah di Lapangan Andi Makkasau pada Hari Raya Idul Fitri nanti,” ungkapnya.

    Dikenal aktif di berbagai organisasi keagamaan di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta, Mustaqim Pabbajah diharapkan dapat memberikan ceramah yang inspiratif dan bermakna bagi masyarakat Parepare dalam perayaan Idul Fitri tahun ini.
