Notifedia.com, Parepare – Fatahuddin resmi mendaftarkan diri sebagai bakal calon Ketua Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kota Parepare, Selasa (10/6/2025), dengan membawa visi besar: menjadikan PWI sebagai wadah peningkatan mutu dan profesionalisme jurnalis, sekaligus memperbaiki citra organisasi di mata publik.
Dikenal dengan sapaan akrab Bang Udin, mantan editor Harian PARE POS ini datang bersama sejumlah jurnalis Parepare. Mereka disambut langsung oleh panitia dan Steering Committee (SC) di Sekretariat PWI Parepare.
“Kita ingin menjadikan PWI Parepare sebagai organisasi yang disegani dan dihormati. Kami akan bekerja keras untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme jurnalis dan memastikan bahwa organisasi ini diisi oleh wartawan yang mumpuni dan berdedikasi,” tegas Bang Udin saat ditemui usai pengembalian formulir pendaftaran.
Ia menegaskan, pencalonannya tidak lepas dari dorongan rekan-rekan seprofesi, baik dari media cetak maupun elektronik di Kota Parepare. Menurutnya, PWI harus menjadi fasilitator utama dalam membangun sinergi antara jurnalis dengan pemerintah daerah, SKPD, BUMN, dan BUMD.
“Sinergi yang baik akan membuka peluang untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan jurnalis. Kita ingin PWI tidak hanya kuat secara organisasi, tapi juga mampu memperjuangkan hak-hak anggotanya,” jelasnya.
Bang Udin juga menyebutkan pentingnya membangun citra positif PWI di mata masyarakat melalui kerja-kerja jurnalistik yang berintegritas dan berkualitas.
“Dengan semangat kolektif, kita akan memulai babak baru dalam organisasi ini. Kita berjuang menjadikan PWI Parepare sebagai organisasi yang disegani dan memiliki kontribusi nyata dalam pembangunan daerah,” ujarnya penuh optimisme.
Dengan pengembalian formulir ini, Fatahuddin secara resmi menjadi salah satu calon Ketua PWI Parepare yang akan bertarung dalam pemilihan pada 14 Juni 2025 mendatang. Ia berharap dapat membawa angin segar dan perubahan positif bagi organisasi serta seluruh insan pers di Kota Parepare.
