NOTIFEDIA, PAREPARE – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sulsel, Bahtiar Baharuddin, mengapresiasi kebijakan Pj Wali Kota Parepare Akbar Ali dalam penanganan inflasi melalui inovasi Kios Pengendalian Inflasi (KOPI). Saat ini angka inflasi di Kota Parepare 2,22 persen, atau berada dibawah angka inflasi nasional yang tercatat 2,71 persen.
“Atas nama Pemerintah Provinsi Sulsel memberikan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya kepada Penjabat Wali Kota Parepare, dan Tim Pengendalian Inflasi Daerah (TPID) Kota Parepare, yang berhasil melakukan langkah cepat dan berhasil dalam pengendalian inflasi,” ungkap Bahtiar, usia melakukan pengecekan harga kebutuhan pokok di Pasar Lakessi Kota Parepare, Selasa, 9 Januari 2024.
“Inflasi sekarang kalau nggak salah 2,22 persen, sementara nasional itu 2,71 persen. Jadi Kota Parepare ini pengendalian inflasinya dibawah inflasi nasional, termasuk baik dan prestasi terbaik di Indonesia,” puji Bahtiar.
Menurut Bahtiar, kebijakan Pemkot Wali Kota Parepare lewat inovasi KOPI ini dianggap sangat masif. Langkah Pemkot Parepare cukup operasi pasar dua kali seminggu, dan mengetahui bagaimana kesiapan kebutuhan pokok dan stok di pasar.
“Nah, setelah dicek apa kelebihan Kota Parepare ini? Ternyata Pemkot Parepare punya inovasi namanya Kios Pengendalian Inflasi atau disingkat KOPI. Ini mereka melakukan kegiatan pengendalian inflasi secara masif, minimal mereka melakukan kegiatan operasi pasar minimal dua kali seminggu,” jelasnya.
“Saya kira ini adalah inovasi yang baik. Atas nama Pemerintah Provinsi dan masyarakat Sulsel, saya menyampaikan terimakasih. Karena Kota Parepare ini adalah barometer, termasuk kota yang menjadi sumber referensi dalam pengambilan sampel inflasi di Wilayah Sulsel,” terangnya.
Selain itu, lanjutnya, ada juga peran kerjasama antara seluruh stakeholder sehingga pengendalian inflasi ini bisa maksimal di Kota Parepare. “Ini karena ada kerjasama dengan seluruh stakeholder di sini. Ada pak Dandim, Kapolres, Kejaksaan dan seluruh masyarakat di sini,” tuturnya.
Sementara itu, Penjabat Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, menyampaikan terimakasih atas kunjungan Pj Gubernur Sulsel ke Kota Parepare, dan melihat langsung bagaimana keadaan pasar dan Kota Parepare saat ini.
“Bapak Gubernur sudah melihat secara langsung bersama dengan seluruh unsur pemerintah dan instansi vertikal, BUMD dan lainnya, untuk sama-sama dalam hal penanganan inflasi,” ucap Akbar Ali.
