Parepare – Orang tua salah satu siswa SMP Negeri 4 Parepare, Sudarsono, melaporkan seorang guru berinisial H (45) ke pihak kepolisian atas dugaan tindakan kekerasan.
Namun, kasus ini berujung damai setelah Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik) Kota Parepare mempertemukan kedua belah pihak untuk mencari solusi.
Dalam mediasi tersebut, H berjanji tidak akan mengulangi perbuatannya. Ia juga bersedia memberikan kompensasi berupa biaya pengobatan kepada Sudarsono sebesar Rp2 juta.
Disdik Kota Parepare memberikan sanksi berupa teguran kepada H dan memastikan guru tersebut tidak mengulangi tindakan serupa di masa depan.
Namun, langkah damai ini menuai kritik. Ketika sejumlah jurnalis mencoba mengonfirmasi alasan damai kepada Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Parepare, Makmur, ia memberikan respons emosional.
Dalam pernyataannya, Makmur meninggikan nada bicara dan menuding seorang jurnalis sebagai provokator.
“Kita juga sembarang tong mau ditanyakan. Kalau sudah proses damai, damai mi. Jangan mi selelu bikin masalah lagi. Provokator ko je kau,” ucap Makmur dengan nada tinggi.
Ia menambahkan, “Yang jelas damaimi berarti ada kesepakatan. Anak-anak ini bisa belajar dengan baik, ibu guru tidak mengulangi. Sudah tulismi begitu,” katanya dengan nada kesal.
Makmur mengungkapkan bahwa damai menjadi solusi terbaik agar proses pembelajaran di sekolah tidak terganggu. Namun, respons emosionalnya justru menjadi sorotan.
Hingga kini, publik mempertanyakan sikap Disdik Kota Parepare yang hanya memberikan sanksi ringan berupa teguran kepada oknum guru tersebut. Beberapa pihak menilai, perlu ada langkah tegas untuk mencegah kasus serupa terjadi di kemudian hari.
