Notifedia.com, Parepare – Kota Parepare kembali menjadi sorotan sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata unggulan di Sulawesi Selatan dengan kedatangan kapal pesiar mewah asal Jerman, MS. Artania, yang sandar di Pelabuhan Nusantara Parepare, Minggu (20/4/2025).
Momen ini disambut dengan antusias oleh jajaran pemerintah kota dan unsur Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) yang turut hadir dalam seremoni penyambutan.
Kapal pesiar MS. Artania sebelumnya bersandar di Pulau Bali sebelum melanjutkan pelayarannya ke utara menuju Parepare. Kapal tersebut membawa sekitar 570 penumpang, yang sebagian besar merupakan wisatawan mancanegara dari berbagai negara.
Wakil Wali Kota Parepare, Hermanto P, dalam keterangannya kepada awak media di ruang tunggu Pelabuhan Nusantara, menyampaikan bahwa kehadiran kapal pesiar ini menjadi sinyal positif bagi kemajuan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif di daerah.
“Alhamdulillah hari ini, Minggu 20 April 2025, Kota Parepare kedatangan kapal pesiar yang membawa kurang lebih 524 penumpang dan kru. Kami sangat bersyukur dan menyambut baik kehadiran mereka. Ini adalah peluang besar untuk memperkenalkan Kota Parepare, sekaligus menggerakkan ekonomi pelaku UMKM lokal,” ujar Hermanto.
Lebih lanjut, Hermanto mengungkapkan bahwa pemerintah kota berharap para wisatawan yang turun dari kapal dapat menikmati sejumlah destinasi unggulan yang dimiliki Kota Parepare.
Meski durasi singgah kapal relatif singkat, yakni hingga pukul 18.00 WITA, namun sejumlah lokasi strategis telah dipersiapkan untuk dikunjungi wisatawan.
“Para turis ini kemungkinan tidak akan keluar jauh dari kota karena keterbatasan waktu. Namun, kita sudah siapkan beberapa titik menarik seperti Pasar Senggol, patung Habibie-Ainun, serta kawasan pusat oleh-oleh dan UMKM. Harapan kami, wisatawan bisa mendapatkan pengalaman yang menyenangkan selama di Parepare,” jelasnya.
Salah satu wisatawan asal Australia, Chino, mengaku terkesan dengan sambutan hangat masyarakat Parepare. Ia bahkan menyebut kota ini sebagai destinasi yang tenang namun kaya akan budaya dan keramahan.
“Saya sangat senang bisa singgah di Parepare. Suasana kota ini tenang, orang-orangnya ramah, dan saya suka dengan sentuhan budaya lokal yang kami lihat begitu tiba di pelabuhan. Saya berharap bisa kembali lagi dan menjelajahi lebih banyak tempat di Indonesia,” ungkap Chino.
Selain penyambutan secara formal, pemerintah kota juga menghadirkan hiburan budaya lokal dan menyediakan layanan pendukung pariwisata, termasuk transportasi darat dan pemandu wisata yang siap mendampingi para turis selama kunjungan mereka.
Pemerintah Kota Parepare melihat momentum ini sebagai bagian dari upaya jangka panjang dalam mempromosikan potensi pariwisata bahari, sejarah, dan budaya kepada dunia internasional.
Parepare dikenal sebagai kota kelahiran Presiden ke-3 RI, B.J. Habibie, dan menyimpan banyak nilai historis serta daya tarik wisata yang khas.
“Kami ingin menjadikan Parepare sebagai destinasi kapal pesiar yang rutin disinggahi. Kami akan terus melakukan pembenahan, baik dari sisi infrastruktur, layanan, maupun promosi destinasi wisata agar lebih siap menyambut wisatawan global,” tambah Hermanto.
Kehadiran MS. Artania di Pelabuhan Nusantara Parepare menjadi bukti bahwa kota berjuluk “Kota Cinta” yang sekarang menjadi “Terbaik Sejahtra dan Maju” ini memiliki daya saing di sektor pariwisata dan terbuka untuk kerja sama skala internasional.
Pemerintah kota juga mengajak masyarakat untuk ikut menyambut baik para wisatawan dan menunjukkan keramahan khas Sulawesi Selatan.
