Parepare – Aksi unjuk rasa masyarakat terkait hasil Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) berlangsung di depan PDAM Salo Karajae, Kota Parepare, Jumat (9/8/2024). Aksi ini mendapat pengawalan ketat dari pasukan Brigif 11 Badik Sakti (BS) yang diterjunkan untuk mengamankan situasi.
Massa yang tidak puas dengan hasil Pilkada terlihat berusaha menyampaikan aspirasinya dengan tegas. Namun, aksi tersebut sempat memanas ketika terjadi dorong-dorongan serta lempar-lemparan antara peserta unjuk rasa dengan petugas Brigif 11/BS yang tengah bertugas menjaga ketertiban. Meskipun demikian, situasi berhasil dikendalikan oleh petugas, dan tidak terjadi insiden yang lebih serius.
Danbrigif 11 Badik Sakti, Kolonel Infanteri Yoki Malinton Kurniafari, menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan pengamanan ini merupakan bagian dari Kaji Ulang Latihan Kesiapan Pengamanan Pilkada Tahun 2024 yang dilaksanakan oleh Brigif 11/BS.

Aksi unjuk rasa ini berlangsung selama beberapa jam sebelum akhirnya massa membubarkan diri dengan tertib. Pihak keamanan terus memantau situasi di sekitar lokasi unjuk rasa untuk memastikan bahwa kondisi tetap kondusif.
Kolonel Yoki juga menambahkan bahwa pihaknya selalu siap siaga dalam menghadapi potensi gangguan keamanan selama proses Pilkada berlangsung, dan akan terus mendukung terwujudnya pemilu yang aman dan damai.
