Hal ini disampaikan menyusul diamankannya seorang warga yang diduga mengedarkan sabu-sabu di area lapas.
“Sejak awal, Kementerian Hukum dan HAM melalui Direktorat Jenderal Pemasyarakatan telah menekankan 13 program akselerasi. Prioritas utama adalah memberantas narkoba dan praktik penipuan di lapas. Apa yang terjadi ini menjadi bukti nyata bahwa kami serius melaksanakan komitmen itu,” tegas Marten, saat bertemu dengan beberapa rekan-rekan jurnalis di Kantor Lapas Kelas IIA Kota Parepare. Kamis (25/9/2025).
Marten menjelaskan, pihaknya tidak melakukan penangkapan, melainkan mengamankan warga yang dicurigai membawa sabu-sabu, kemudian menyerahkannya ke kepolisian.
“Kami tidak punya kewenangan melakukan penindakan hukum. Karena itu, sejak awal kami langsung bersinergi dengan Polres Parepare agar kasus ini diproses sesuai aturan,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, kejahatan narkotika tergolong extraordinary crime atau kejahatan luar biasa. Pola yang dijalankan para pelaku sangat sistematis, rapi, dan tidak mudah diungkap.
“Karena itu, kami percayakan sepenuhnya kepada kepolisian untuk menelusuri jaringan, modus, hingga kemungkinan keterlibatan pihak lain,” tambahnya.
Soal prosedur pengawasan, Kalapas menegaskan bahwa SOP pemeriksaan pengunjung sudah diterapkan ketat.
Setiap orang yang masuk lapas tidak diperbolehkan membawa handphone maupun barang-barang tertentu, serta wajib menjalani pemeriksaan badan dan barang. Bahkan, barang keluar dari lapas juga diperiksa.
“Kalau ada anggapan bahwa ada kelemahan pemeriksaan, kita tunggu dulu hasil penyelidikan polisi. Bisa saja modusnya lewat cara lain, misalnya barang dilempar atau dikirim dengan teknologi tertentu. Karena itu semua masih akan ditelusuri aparat berwenang,” jelasnya.
Kalapas juga menegaskan bahwa pihaknya secara rutin melakukan razia kamar warga binaan minimal sekali dalam seminggu.
Jika ditemukan pelanggaran, sanksi tegas dijatuhkan, mulai dari pencabutan hak remisi hingga larangan bertemu keluarga.
“Langkah kami jelas: lapas harus bersih dari narkoba. Kami ingin menghilangkan persepsi bahwa lapas menjadi tempat nyaman bagi peredaran narkoba. Justru kami buktikan dengan keterbukaan dan sinergi bersama kepolisian,” pungkas Kalapas.
