Notifedia, Sidrap – Kondisi terkini di Desa Kampale, Kabupaten Sidrap, khususnya di Dusun Dua, Tanru Tedong, menggambarkan pemandangan yang memilukan akibat dari banjir bandang yang melanda.
Kepala Desa Kampale, Ashar Sose, mengungkapkan bahwa sebuah tanggul jalan jebol menjadi pemicu utama dari peristiwa ini. Air sungai yang semula naik di pagi hari, meluap masuk ke pemukiman warga pada sore hari akibat kejadian tersebut. Minggu, (5/5/24).
“Sebelum tanggul jalan jebol, situasinya masih terkendali. Namun, saat tanggul tersebut rusak, air sungai langsung merambah ke pemukiman warga,” ujar Ashar Sose.
Meskipun tidak ada korban jiwa yang dilaporkan, kerugian material cukup signifikan terutama bagi persawahan warga yang hampir siap panen.
“Kerugian ini sangat memprihatinkan, terutama mengingat persiapan panen yang telah dilakukan oleh para petani,” tambahnya.
Ashar Sose juga menyoroti kondisi pasca banjir bandang, di mana masyarakat Desa Kampale mengalami kekurangan pasokan makanan dan minuman.
Meskipun listrik telah menyala, namun pasokan air bersih untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari masih menjadi masalah yang harus segera diatasi.
Peristiwa ini menjadi peringatan bagi pihak terkait untuk meningkatkan sistem pengamanan dan pemeliharaan infrastruktur yang ada, serta mempersiapkan solusi tanggap darurat yang lebih efektif untuk menghadapi bencana alam serupa di masa mendatang.
