NOTIFEDIA, PAREPARE — Wali Kota Parepare, Taufan Pawe menghadiri pelatihan dakwah kontemporer yang diselenggarakan oleh Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kota Parepare.
Pelatihan dirangkaikan sosialisasi pemetaan potensi umat kerentanan sosial dengan tema Tantangan Umat dan Problematika Sosial Keagamaan di Tengah Arus Disrupsi, bertempat di Hotel Kenari Parepare, Senin (9/1/23).
Kegiatan dihadiri oleh Ketua MUI Kota Parepare, Kiai Haji Abd Halim K, sejumlah pejabat pimpinan SKPD, jajaran pengurus MUI, unsur Forkopimda, dan undangan lainnya.
Pada kesempatan itu, Wali Kota Parepare melaunching website MUI. Website itu bakal menjadi wadah untuk menampung aspirasi, dan penyebaran informasi seputaran MUI Kota Parepare.
Taufan Pawe menyebut, MUI sebagai otoritas fatwa, ijtihad kolektif yang punya peran penting dalam pembangunan keumatan di Parepare.
“Peran MUI sangat menentukan arah pembangunan keumatan. Saya mengapresasi kegiatan ini, merupakan wujud MUI untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan serta tatanan kehidupan beragama,” ucapnya.
Taufan menilai MUI hadir sebagai payung teduh, semua unsur umat beragama. Termasuk, bangga dengan kinerja MUI. Bahkan mengakui, dana hibah yang diberikan Pemkot Parepare dapat tersalurkan dengan baik melalui kegiatan keumatan ini.
“Jadi Insya Allah, kita akan tingkatkan dana hibah MUI. Sudah harus tembus Rp100 juta. Karena saya sadar, tidak ada daya saya kalau saya tidak berpegang teguh kepada payung agama,” katanya
Taufan juga menyinggung pelatihan produk halal MUI. Sebab, produk halal di Parepare sudah mencapai 97 persen.
Sementara, Ketua MUI Kota Parepare KH Abdul Halim K menjelaskan kegiatan pelatihan dan sosialisasi ini merupakan kemaslahatan umat. Bahkan, kegiatan ini dapat terwujud atas bantuan dana hibah dari Pemkot Parepare.
“Berharap kita kembali membangkitkan semangat, sebagai tokoh agama dan ulama,” katanya.
Ia pun menjelaskan, ulama ini mewarisi ilmu pengetahuan. Olehnya itu, MUI Kota Parepare hadir mendorong para ulama, atau ustaz untuk menyampaikan ajaran agama kepada masyarakat terhadap kemaslahatan akhlak.
“Kami juga bersyukur dengan adanya bantuan dari Pemda sehingga kita melakukan kegiatan seperti ini,” pungkasnya.
