“Sebagaimana kita ketahui, kerajinan lokal merupakan salah satu kekuatan ekonomi kreatif di Kota Parepare,” ujar Andi Arfiah yang juga Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK Kota Parepare itu.
Ia juga menjelaskan, Dekranasda tidak hanya berfokus pada promosi produk lokal, tetapi juga mendampingi para pengrajin secara maksimal, memberikan inovasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk, hingga membuka akses pasar yang lebih luas.
“Kita sama-sama berharap agar kerajinan lokal bisa lebih baik, lebih maju, membanggakan, dan mandiri. Jika itu tercapai, maka ekonomi masyarakat maupun keluarga di Kota Parepare akan terus tumbuh,” lanjutnya.
Andi Arfiah pun berharap, pengurus Dekranasda yang baru dapat bekerja dengan penuh komitmen, menjalin kolaborasi, serta menghadirkan program-program nyata yang mendorong pengembangan potensi kerajinan daerah. Dengan demikian, Parepare dapat semakin dikenal sebagai kota yang kreatif dan berdaya saing.
