Notifedia.com, Pinrang – Kepedulian TNI terhadap masyarakat terdampak bencana alam kembali ditunjukkan oleh prajurit Yonif 721/Makkasau. Memasuki hari lanjutan penanganan pascabencana, Rabu (17/12/2025).
Pembersihan dan penataan puing-puing rumah warga yang terdampak angin puting beliung di Lingkungan Kassie, Kelurahan Lanrisang, Kecamatan Lanrisang, Kabupaten Pinrang, dipastikan telah berjalan aman, lancar, dan tuntas.
Kegiatan kemanusiaan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari kerja bakti yang telah dilaksanakan sehari sebelumnya, Selasa (16/12/2025), dengan melibatkan personel Yonif 721/Mks bersama Babinsa dan masyarakat setempat.
Sejak sore hari, prajurit TNI bahu-membahu membantu warga membersihkan sisa-sisa material bangunan rumah yang rusak akibat terjangan angin puting beliung.
Sebanyak 21 personel Yonif 721/Mks diterjunkan langsung ke lokasi bencana. Mereka bekerja bersama masyarakat tanpa mengenal waktu, mulai dari pembongkaran bagian rumah yang rusak hingga pembersihan puing-puing, guna mempercepat pemulihan lingkungan dan meringankan beban warga terdampak.
Komandan Batalyon Infanteri 721/Makkasau melalui laporan resmi menyampaikan bahwa selama pelaksanaan kegiatan tidak ditemukan kendala berarti. Seluruh rangkaian kerja bakti berjalan tertib, aman, dan penuh semangat gotong royong.
Menanggapi kegiatan tersebut, Pjs. Komandan Brigade Infanteri 11/Badik Sakti, Kolonel Inf. Rahman Taleho, M.Si, memberikan apresiasi atas respons cepat dan kepedulian prajurit di lapangan.
“Apa yang dilakukan prajurit Yonif 721/Makkasau merupakan wujud nyata kehadiran TNI di tengah-tengah kesulitan rakyat. Saya mengapresiasi semangat, keikhlasan, dan kepedulian seluruh personel yang terlibat. TNI harus selalu menjadi solusi dan kekuatan moral bagi masyarakat, terutama saat terjadi bencana,” tegas Kolonel Rahman Taleho.
Ia juga menekankan bahwa kegiatan seperti ini sejalan dengan tugas pokok TNI dalam Operasi Militer Selain Perang (OMSP), khususnya membantu pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana.
Masyarakat Lingkungan Kassie pun menyampaikan rasa terima kasih atas bantuan dan perhatian yang diberikan oleh TNI. Kehadiran prajurit di lokasi bencana dinilai sangat membantu mempercepat proses pembersihan serta memberikan semangat bagi warga untuk kembali bangkit pascabencana.
Dengan selesainya kegiatan pembersihan puing-puing rumah warga, diharapkan proses pemulihan dan perbaikan rumah masyarakat terdampak dapat segera dilanjutkan, sehingga aktivitas warga kembali berjalan normal.
