NOTIFEDIA, PAREPARE — Pada kunjungan kerja (kunker) di Kota Parepare, Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan, Bahtiar Baharuddin, tidak hanya fokus pada aspek kebijakan dan administratif. Ia juga menunjukkan komitmen terhadap pertanian dengan mengikuti kegiatan Gerakan Menanam Cabai di lahan percontohan Dinas Pertanian, Kelautan, dan Perikanan Kota Parepare.
Dalam kegiatan tersebut, Bahtiar Baharuddin didampingi oleh Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, serta unsur Forkopimda Kota Parepare dan rombongan pemerintahan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.
Penanaman cabai ini tidak hanya menjadi simbol partisipasi mereka dalam mendukung pertanian lokal, tetapi juga menjadi momentum untuk mempererat kolaborasi antara pemerintah provinsi dan pemerintah kota dalam mengembangkan sektor pertanian.
Pj Gubernur Sulsel menyatakan pentingnya memperkuat sektor pertanian sebagai bagian integral dari pembangunan daerah. “Melalui kegiatan ini, kami ingin memberikan dorongan positif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, khususnya dalam hal penanaman cabai,” ujar Bahtiar Baharuddin.
Aktivitas ini bukan hanya sebagai simbol, namun juga sebagai upaya nyata untuk mendorong pertanian berkelanjutan. Dengan melibatkan berbagai unsur pemerintahan, Bahtiar Baharuddin ingin menegaskan bahwa pembangunan sektor pertanian membutuhkan sinergi lintas sektor dan tingkat pemerintahan.
Penanaman cabai di lahan percontohan Dinas Pertanian, Kelautan, dan Perikanan Kota Parepare menjadi bukti nyata bahwa pemimpin daerah tidak hanya berfokus pada perkembangan infrastruktur, tetapi juga pada sektor yang memiliki dampak langsung terhadap ekonomi masyarakat.
