Notifedia, Parepare – Momen bersejarah bagi warga Parepare dengan resmi digunakannya Gedung Panrita Perpustakaan Umum Parepare. Minggu, (18/2/24).
Peresmian megah tersebut ditandai dengan gunting oleh Deputi Pengembangan Sumber Daya Perpustakaan, Perpusnas RI Adin Bondar
Peresmian gedung ini menjadi salah satu rangkaian dari perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-64 Parepare. Acara tersebut diselenggarakan dengan meriah, turut dihadiri oleh pejabat tinggi seperti Sekda Parepare Muhammad Husni Syam dan Kepala Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Ahmad Masdar.
Deputi Pengembangan Sumber Daya Perpustakaan Perpusnas RI Adin Bondar menjelaskan literasi merupakan hal esensial dan penting bagi peningkatar kesejahteraan umat manusia.
“Semoga gedung perpustakaan ini dapat bermanfaat dengan baik. Kita tahu, pembangunan SDM melalui penguatan budaya literasi dapat dilakukan dengan care kegemaran membaca, penguatan perbukuan dan konten literasi. Termasuk perluasan akses layanan perpustakaan,” jelasnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Sekda Kota Parepare, Muhammad Husni Syam menyampaikan pujian dan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya terhadap pembangunan dan penggunaan gedung perpustakaan ini.
“Gedung tersebut akan menjadi pusat pengetahuan dan wawasan bagi masyarakat Parepare, serta menjadi tempat berkumpulnya para pencinta literasi dari berbagai kalangan.”
Dengan diresmikannya Gedung Panrita Perpustakaan Umum Parepare, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat baca masyarakat dan membuka peluang lebih luas bagi peningkatan pengetahuan serta kreativitas warga kota Parepare.
