Ki Hajar Dewantara, Bapak Pendidikan Bangsa Indonesia yang lahir pada tanggal 2 Mei 1889. Sebagai bentuk penghormatan kepada beliau, setiap tanggal 2 Mei dijadikan sebagai peringatan Hari Pendidikan Nasional (Hardiknas) setiap tahunnya.
Setiap peringatan Hardiknas ini saya pikirnya menjadi momentum refleksi untuk membangun semangat Pendidikan ke arah yang lebih baik. Wajah Baru Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Indonesia sedang dibangun bersama dengan gerakan Merdeka Belajar.
Mas Menteri Pendidikan Nadiem Makarim menyampaikan dalam pidato Hardiknas 2024 ini “bahwa kita sudah berada di jalan yang benar, namun tugas kita belum selesai”.
Episode ke-26 gerakan Merdeka Belajar bukti perbaikan Pendidikan terus diupayakan, tetapi episode demi episode yang ada ini harus terus dilakukan evaluasi apakah sudah tepat sasaran tujuan episodenya atau malah melenceng dari sasarannya.
Namun disini saya tak ingin mengulas hal ini terlalu dalam.
Hardiknas 2023 saya mengingatkan rapor merah Pendidikan Kota Parepare sebab Mas menteri mengatakan perlunya peran pemerintah daerah untuk membenahi wajah baru Pendidikan kita saat ini, pada momentum Hardiknas 2024 ini yang bertepatan dengan momentum pemilukada serentak yang dilaksanakan, terkhusus Kota Parepare bahwa calon pemimpin harus paham betul arah Pendidikan yang hari ini dikampanyekan melalui gerakan Merdeka Belajar.
Ini penting, Parepare sudah dibangun dari tampakan luarnya tapi sudah saatnya tampakan luar dibangun dibarengi pembangunan dari dalam, apa yang saya maksud dengan pembangunan dari dalam yaitu pembangunan Sumber Daya Manusia.
Pemerintah kedepan harus memberi ruang untuk pengembangan Potensi Guru melalui pelatihan dan workshop yang diinisiasi melalui dinas Pendidikan, kita jangan memimpikan siswa yang mandiri kalau Gurunya kita tidak bekali dengan kemampuan mengolah tujuan Merdeka Belajar itu.
Pemerintah pula harus menyediakan bantuan Pendidikan untuk seluruh masyarakatnya, saya tau ada bantuan untuk siswa SD dan SMP karena pemerintah daerah mendapatkan tugas dijenjeng itu, tapi kita berbicara seluruh masyarakat Parepare, nomenklaturnya bisa dibuat dalam bentuk PERWALI jangan terkesan kaku dalam kebijakan ini.
Terakhir, iklim siswa yang kolaborasi tanpa mengesampingkan semangat kompetisi harus terus digalakkan untuk menciptakan iklim positif dalam menunjang tujuan Merdeka Belajar. Mari Bergerak Bersama, Lanjutkan Merdeka Belajar dan Evaluasi setiap episodenya.
