PAREPARE – Dalam upaya melestarikan budaya dan mempererat silaturahmi, Perkumpulan Penghobi Ayam Kontes Nusantara (PPAKN) kembali akan menggelar kontes ketangkasan ayam jago untuk ketiga kalinya di Kota Parepare.
Ajang ini tidak hanya menjadi sarana kompetisi, tetapi juga diharapkan dapat mengurangi maraknya kontes liar yang berpotensi mengganggu keamanan.
Ketua Panitia Pelaksana, Muhammad Ari Azhari, saat konfren pers bersama teman,teman media menjelaskan bahwa tujuan utama dari kontes ini adalah memberikan wadah resmi bagi para pecinta ayam jago untuk berkompetisi dengan sehat dan aman.
“Kontes ini tidak hanya tentang menilai kepakan sayap dan loncatan, tetapi juga tentang menjunjung tinggi budaya dan tradisi kita,” ungkap Ari.
Acara ini diikuti oleh puluhan peserta dari berbagai daerah yang membawa ayam jago andalan mereka untuk unjuk kebolehan. Setiap ayam jago dinilai berdasarkan kecepatan, ketangkasan, dan teknik bertahan saat bertanding di arena.
Selain sebagai ajang perlombaan, kontes ini juga menjadi tempat bertukar wawasan bagi para pecinta ayam jago mengenai teknik perawatan dan pelatihan.
“Kami ingin menunjukkan bahwa ketangkasan ayam jago bisa dikembangkan dengan cara yang profesional, bukan sekadar adu kuat seperti yang sering terjadi di kontes ilegal,” tambah Ari.
Beberapa calon peserta kontes yang hadir menyambut baik penyelenggaraan acara ini. Salah satunya, dari Kabupaten Pinrang, mengaku senang akan ikut serta dalam kompetisi resmi seperti ini.
“Ini ajang yang positif, karena ada regulasi yang jelas dan kita bisa bertanding dengan fair play,” ujarnya.
Dengan adanya kegiatan seperti ini, diharapkan minat masyarakat terhadap kontes ketangkasan ayam jago bisa diarahkan ke jalur yang lebih profesional dan terorganisir.
PPAKN pun berencana untuk terus mengadakan kompetisi serupa di berbagai daerah guna menjaga kelestarian budaya sekaligus memberikan hiburan yang sehat bagi masyarakat.
