Notifedia.com, PAREPARE – Dalam rangka menghadapi ajang Pra Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Pra Porprov) Sulawesi Selatan, Federasi Akuatik Indonesia (FAI) Kota Parepare terus mengintensifkan persiapan para atletnya.
Salah satu atlet yang menjadi sorotan utama dalam proses pembinaan tersebut adalah Firda, perenang muda berbakat yang kini tengah mengikuti kejuaraan nasional bertajuk Start Up Akuatik Swimming Championship 2025 di Palu, Sulawesi Tengah.
Firda tidak hanya sekadar tampil sebagai peserta, tetapi membawa harapan besar untuk mengukir prestasi dan menambah pengalaman bertanding di level yang lebih tinggi.
Dalam kejuaraan ini, Firda turun di lima nomor pertandingan, yakni 50 meter gaya dada, 100 meter gaya dada, 200 meter gaya dada, 50 meter gaya bebas, dan 50 meter gaya kupu-kupu.
Keikutsertaannya dalam berbagai gaya dan jarak menunjukkan kapasitasnya sebagai atlet serba bisa dengan potensi besar untuk berkembang lebih jauh.
Ketua Umum FAI Kota Parepare, S. Parman Agoes Mante, didampingi Wakil Ketua, H. Muhtar Abdullahi, menyampaikan kebanggaannya atas semangat juang Firda dan komitmen organisasi dalam membina atlet sejak usia dini.
“Keikutsertaan Firda dalam kejuaraan ini bukan hanya soal meraih medali, tetapi juga bagian dari strategi jangka panjang kami dalam membentuk atlet yang matang secara teknik, mental, dan pengalaman. Kami percaya bahwa pengalaman bertanding di luar daerah akan menjadi modal besar bagi Firda, apalagi menjelang Pra Porprov yang sudah semakin dekat,” ujar S. Parman.
Lebih lanjut, ia menyampaikan bahwa FAI Kota Parepare terus berupaya menciptakan lingkungan pembinaan yang kondusif dan berkelanjutan.
Dengan dukungan pelatih, fasilitas latihan yang semakin baik, dan partisipasi aktif dari orang tua atlet, Parepare diyakini mampu bersaing dengan kota/kabupaten lain di Sulawesi Selatan.
“Kami ingin Firda dan atlet lainnya bisa mengharumkan nama Kota Parepare, baik di level regional maupun nasional. Ini bukan hanya tentang olahraga, tapi juga tentang membawa semangat daerah dan membangun karakter generasi muda yang tangguh,” tambahnya.
Start Up Akuatik Swimming Championship sendiri merupakan salah satu event renang nasional yang mempertemukan atlet-atlet potensial dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia.
Ajang ini dikenal sebagai panggung pembuktian bagi perenang muda untuk menunjukkan kemampuan mereka dan menarik perhatian pelatih serta federasi tingkat provinsi dan nasional.
Dengan semangat kompetitif yang tinggi dan pembinaan yang terarah, FAI Kota Parepare optimis bahwa Firda dapat mencetak hasil membanggakan dan membawa pulang pengalaman berharga yang akan menjadi bekal berharga di ajang-ajang berikutnya.
