Notifedia. com, PAREPARE – Rombongan Komisi III Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Kota Parepare melakukan kunjungan lapangan ke sejumlah titik yang terdampak banjir akibat hujan deras, salah satunya di wilayah Lumpue, pada Senin, 6 Januari 2025.
Kunjungan ini merupakan bentuk respon cepat DPRD terhadap keluhan warga yang terdampak banjir. Rombongan dipimpin langsung oleh Sekretaris Komisi III, Hasyib Hasyim.
Dalam keterangannya usai meninjau lokasi, Hasyib Hasyim menekankan pentingnya perencanaan yang matang sebelum pembangunan drainase dilakukan. Ia mendorong Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kota Parepare untuk menyusun site plan terlebih dahulu.
“Yang namanya site plane drainase itu penting untuk mengetahui bahwa air itu mau diarahkan ke mana. Artinya, tidak sekadar membangun, tapi harus mempertimbangkan juga ketinggian saluran air dari rumah warga,” ujarnya.
Menurut Hasyib, genangan air yang terjadi di beberapa titik dalam kota selama musim hujan disebabkan oleh sistem drainase yang tidak optimal. Beberapa saluran bahkan mengalami penumpukan sedimentasi yang memperparah kondisi saat hujan lebat turun.
Ia berharap dengan penyusunan site plan yang tepat, pembangunan drainase ke depan bisa lebih efektif dalam mengatasi persoalan banjir musiman yang kerap melanda Kota Parepare.
