Notifedia.com, Parepare – Aksi unjuk rasa buruh dan warga di Pelabuhan Cappa Ujung, Kelurahan Ujung Sabbang, Kecamatan Ujung, Kota Parepare, Jumat (20/6/2025), mendapat perhatian langsung dari Wakil Kepala Kepolisian Resor (Wakapolres) Kota Parepare, Kompol Saharuddin. Pejabat yang baru saja menjalani serah terima jabatan tersebut turun langsung ke lokasi, mengingat titik aksi merupakan objek vital yang memiliki pengamanan khusus.
Didampingi Kabag Ops, Kasat Intelkam, serta Kapolsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Nusantara (KPN) yang juga baru dilantik. Kompol Saharuddin memberikan imbauan langsung kepada massa aksi. Ia menekankan pentingnya menjalankan aksi sesuai prosedur hukum yang berlaku, terutama dalam konteks keamanan objek vital nasional.
“Kami tidak melarang adanya unjuk rasa, itu bagian dari hak demokrasi. Namun, pelaksanaannya harus mengikuti prosedur, termasuk menyampaikan surat pemberitahuan kegiatan ke pihak kepolisian,” ujar Saharuddin di hadapan peserta aksi.
Menurutnya, pelabuhan merupakan objek strategis dan vital yang tidak bisa dijadikan lokasi aksi secara sembarangan. Apalagi, aksi tersebut belum memiliki pemberitahuan resmi kepada Polres Parepare sebagaimana diatur dalam undang-undang.
“Kami di kepolisian berkepentingan menjaga Keamanan dan Ketertiban Masyarakat (Kamtibmas). Maka jika prosedur diabaikan, potensi gangguan bisa terjadi. Tugas kami bukan hanya mengamankan aksi, tapi juga menjaga fasilitas negara,” tegasnya.
Setelah melakukan pendekatan persuasif, aparat kepolisian akhirnya mengarahkan massa aksi untuk membubarkan diri dan meninggalkan area pelabuhan. Warga dan buruh pun membubarkan diri secara tertib setelah mendapatkan penjelasan dari aparat keamanan.
Langkah cepat yang dilakukan oleh jajaran Polres Parepare ini dinilai sebagai bentuk antisipasi terhadap potensi gangguan keamanan di titik-titik strategis, terlebih dengan latar belakang pergantian pejabat baru di lingkungan kepolisian setempat.
