PAREPARE — Penjabat (Pj) Wali Kota Parepare, Abdul Hayat Gani, memberikan apresiasi atas hadirnya layanan bedah saraf di RS Hasri Ainun Habibie. Hal ini ia sampaikan usai menyaksikan langsung proses live brain surgery pada Rabu, 8 Januari 2025.
“Hari ini, dengan adanya layanan baru, saya kira tidak semua rumah sakit bisa melakukan hal yang sensitif ini. Karena area [operasi] berkaitan dengan ahli dalam, titik-titik rawan otak, dan seterusnya yang memerlukan kehati-hatian yang kuat,” ungkap Abdul Hayat.
Menurutnya, kehadiran layanan ini menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas fasilitas kesehatan di Parepare. Ia menekankan bahwa keberhasilan operasi bedah saraf sangat bergantung pada dua aspek utama, yakni fasilitas dan kompetensi sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang mendukungnya.
“Saya anggap instrumen itu adalah fasilitas operasi yang harus kuat. Ditambah lagi dengan dukungan motivasi SDM yang baik. Karena meskipun fasilitas memadai, jika dari sisi personality kurang tepat, hasilnya bisa saja tidak maksimal,” jelasnya.
Abdul Hayat berharap layanan ini dapat memberikan manfaat besar bagi masyarakat Parepare dan sekitarnya. Ia juga mendorong agar layanan kesehatan lainnya terus dikembangkan di RS Hasri Ainun Habibie sebagai rumah sakit rujukan di Sulawesi Selatan.
Hadirnya layanan bedah saraf ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi rujukan pasien ke rumah sakit di luar daerah, sekaligus mempercepat penanganan kasus yang membutuhkan tindakan medis tingkat tinggi.
