Parepare, – Kebakaran hebat melanda permukiman warga di Jl. Andi Makkasau, Kelurahan Kampung Pisang, Kecamatan Soreang, Kota Parepare, pada Senin (3/3/25) dini hari. Kejadian yang berlangsung sekitar pukul 04.40 WITA itu menghanguskan tiga unit rumah yang berdempetan.
Peristiwa nahas ini terjadi pada hari ketiga bulan suci Ramadan, saat sebagian besar warga masih beristirahat setelah sahur. Api dengan cepat menjalar di permukiman padat penduduk, membuat warga sekitar panik dan berusaha menyelamatkan diri serta barang berharga mereka.
Begitu laporan masuk, Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Kota Parepare langsung menerjunkan seluruh armadanya ke lokasi. Sebanyak delapan unit mobil pemadam kebakaran dikerahkan untuk mengendalikan api yang terus membesar.
Upaya pemadaman berlangsung dramatis karena kondisi rumah yang berbahan kayu mempercepat penyebaran api.
Petugas pemadam bersama warga sekitar berjibaku menjinakkan si jago merah. Setelah hampir dua jam, api akhirnya berhasil dikendalikan dan dipadamkan sepenuhnya.
“Kami mengerahkan seluruh armada yang ada karena api cukup besar dan lokasi kebakaran berada di pemukiman padat penduduk. Untungnya, tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kejadian ini,” ujar salah satu petugas Damkar Parepare.
Mengetahui kejadian tersebut, Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, bersama Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Parepare, M. Husni Syam, langsung mendatangi lokasi kebakaran setelah melaksanakan salat subuh.
Tasming Hamid menyampaikan rasa prihatin yang mendalam atas musibah yang menimpa warganya. Ia memastikan bahwa pemerintah kota akan segera memberikan bantuan darurat bagi korban kebakaran.
“Kami turut berduka atas musibah ini. InsyaAllah, pemerintah akan memberikan bantuan yang dibutuhkan, termasuk tempat tinggal sementara dan kebutuhan dasar bagi keluarga yang terdampak,” kata Tasming Hamid.
Sementara itu, Sekda Parepare, M. Husni Syam, juga menyampaikan apresiasi kepada petugas Damkar yang bergerak cepat dalam menangani kebakaran ini.
“Kami berterima kasih kepada tim pemadam kebakaran yang sudah bekerja maksimal. Semoga bantuan dari pemerintah bisa segera disalurkan agar para korban bisa kembali bangkit dari musibah ini,” ujarnya.
Hingga saat ini, penyebab pasti kebakaran masih dalam penyelidikan pihak berwenang. Namun, berdasarkan keterangan warga sekitar, kebakaran diduga berasal dari korsleting listrik di salah satu rumah yang terbakar.
Warga yang terdampak kebakaran sementara ini diungsikan ke rumah kerabat dan posko darurat yang disediakan oleh pemerintah setempat.
Musibah ini menjadi pengingat bagi masyarakat untuk lebih waspada terhadap potensi kebakaran, terutama di pemukiman padat penduduk.
Pemerintah Kota Parepare pun mengimbau warga untuk rutin memeriksa instalasi listrik dan menggunakan peralatan elektronik dengan aman guna mencegah kejadian serupa di masa mendatang.
