Notifedia, PAREPARE – Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, secara resmi membuka Turnamen Wali Kota Atlantic Competition yang digelar di Lapangan Basket Jati Diri Kota Parepare. Sabtu, (24/2/24).
Acara pembukaan yang berlangsung meriah dihadiri oleh berbagai pihak terkait, termasuk Ketua KONI Kota Parepare, pengurus Perbasi, dan para peserta tim Club Basket yang terdaftar dalam kompetisi ini.
Dalam sambutannya, Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, menyampaikan apresiasi atas terselenggaranya turnamen ini yang diharapkan dapat menjadi wahana bagi para pemuda dalam mengembangkan bakat dan minatnya dalam olahraga basket.
“Turnamen ini bukan hanya sekadar ajang kompetisi, tetapi juga sarana untuk mempererat tali persaudaraan antar klub basket serta mempromosikan semangat sportivitas di kalangan pemuda,” ujar Akbar Ali.
Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh sejumlah tim basket dari berbagai klub, ada sekitar 30 klub dari berbagai daerah, yang siap bersaing dalam rangkaian pertandingan yang akan berlangsung hingga beberapa pekan ke depan.
Para peserta diharapkan dapat memberikan yang terbaik dalam setiap pertandingan, serta menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai sportivitas dan fair play.
Turnamen Wali Kota Atlantic Competition juga menjadi momentum untuk menumbuhkan minat masyarakat terhadap olahraga basket, sekaligus menciptakan suasana kebersamaan yang positif di tengah-tengah komunitas.
Diharapkan, melalui ajang ini, bakat-bakat baru dapat terangkat dan menginspirasi generasi muda untuk terus berprestasi dalam dunia olahraga.
