Pembukaan dilakukan oleh Kepala Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Parepare, Iskandar Nusu, yang hadir mewakili Wali Kota Parepare, Dr. H. Tasming Hamid. karena bersamaan dengan agenda penetapan APBD Perubahan 2025 di DPRD Parepare.
Dalam sambutannya, Iskandar menyampaikan terima kasih kepada POBSI Sulawesi Selatan, POBSI Kota Parepare, dan seluruh panitia atas kerja keras menyukseskan ajang ini. Ia berharap Pra Porprov 2025 dapat melahirkan atlet biliard berprestasi yang mampu bersaing di level nasional.
Sekretaris Karateker POBSI Sulsel, Felix ligianto. Mewakili Ketua Karateker, Hamka Jaya, menegaskan dukungan penuh kepada Kota Parepare sebagai tuan rumah.
Menurutnya, Pra Porprov menjadi momentum penting untuk menumbuhkan semangat dan prestasi atlet biliard Sulsel.
Ketua Panitia, AKP Agus Purwanto, menyebut seluruh persiapan telah matang. Ia menegaskan pelaksanaan pertandingan akan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas dan menjadi ajang pembinaan atlet.
Selain biliard, Parepare juga dipercaya menggelar beberapa cabor lain pada Pra Porprov 2025, seperti balap sepeda, tinju, bina raga, dan pencak silat.
