Notifedia.com, PAREPARE — Dalam rangka mempererat tali silaturahmi pasca Hari Raya Idulfitri, alumni Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 2 Parepare angkatan tahun 2000 menggelar acara Halal Bi Halal pada Sabtu malam, 5 April 2025, bertempat di Auditorium BJ. Habibie, Rumah Jabatan Wali Kota Parepare.
Acara yang dimulai pada pukul 20.00 WITA ini berlangsung dalam suasana hangat, penuh kekeluargaan dan sarat akan nilai kebersamaan. Dihadiri oleh sejumlah tokoh penting dan tokoh pendidikan, kegiatan ini menjadi momentum spesial untuk mengenang masa-masa indah di bangku sekolah sekaligus memberikan penghargaan kepada para guru yang telah berjasa besar dalam mendidik para alumni.
Hadir dalam kegiatan ini Ibu Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK Kota Parepare, Kepala Sekolah SMPN 2 Parepare, Ibu Dra. Nasriah B., M.Pd, para guru dan staf SMPN 2 Parepare, serta seluruh alumni angkatan 2000. Bertindak sebagai pembawa hikmah Halal Bi Halal adalah Ustaz Dr. Duhardi Diri, M.Sos.I, yang dalam ceramahnya mengingatkan pentingnya menjaga hubungan baik antar sesama serta menjadikan momen Halal Bi Halal sebagai sarana introspeksi diri.
Dalam sambutannya, Kepala Sekolah SMPN 2 Parepare, Ibu Dra. Nasriah B., M.Pd menyampaikan rasa syukurnya atas terselenggaranya kegiatan tersebut. Ia menekankan pentingnya menjaga hubungan antara almamater dan para alumni, sembari memberikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya atas keberhasilan alumni dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk di dunia pemerintahan.
“Kita harus merasa bangga karena salah satu alumni SMPN 2 Parepare telah berhasil meniti karier dan saat ini menjabat sebagai Wali Kota Parepare. Semoga di masa yang akan datang, SMPN 2 Parepare dapat kembali melahirkan sosok-sosok pemimpin seperti beliau, yang dapat mengharumkan nama baik sekolah ini,” ujarnya disambut tepuk tangan hadirin.
Wali Kota Parepare yang turut hadir dalam kapasitasnya sebagai alumni angkatan 2000 memberikan sambutan yang penuh haru dan nostalgia. Dalam pidatonya, beliau mengenang masa-masa remaja yang penuh warna di SMPN 2 Parepare, serta menekankan pentingnya peran guru dalam membentuk karakter dan masa depan siswa.
“Tidak mungkin saya bisa berdiri di sini sebagai Wali Kota jika tidak ada jasa dan doa dari para guru yang luar biasa di SMPN 2 Parepare. Saya ucapkan terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada seluruh guru yang telah mendidik kami dengan penuh dedikasi dan kesabaran,” ucapnya.
Ia juga mengajak seluruh alumni untuk tetap menjaga komunikasi dan menjadikan almamater sebagai bagian penting dalam perjalanan hidup masing-masing.
Sebagai bagian dari rangkaian acara, para alumni turut menunjukkan kepedulian sosial dengan menyerahkan santunan kepada Yayasan Pondok Tahfidzul Qur’an Al Kareem. Penyerahan santunan ini menjadi simbol bahwa alumni tidak hanya menjaga hubungan antar sesama, tetapi juga memiliki kepedulian terhadap pembangunan keagamaan dan pendidikan generasi muda.
Kegiatan Halal Bi Halal ini ditutup dengan ramah tamah serta foto bersama seluruh peserta yang hadir. Momen ini diharapkan dapat menjadi awal dari kegiatan-kegiatan positif lainnya yang melibatkan alumni dan memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi masyarakat dan almamater tercinta.***
