Notifedia.com, PAREPARE — Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, menghadiri Musyawarah Besar (Mubes) Kerukunan Keluarga Sulawesi Selatan (KKSS) ke-XII dan Pertemuan Saudagar Bugis-Makassar (PSBM) ke-XXV yang berlangsung di Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Makassar, Kamis (10/4/2025).
Agenda tahunan ini turut dihadiri sejumlah tokoh nasional, di antaranya Menteri Agama RI, Prof. H. Nasaruddin Umar, serta Menteri Pertanian RI, Andi Amran Sulaiman. Selain itu, sejumlah kepala daerah dari berbagai wilayah juga hadir dalam momentum silaturahmi dan konsolidasi warga Sulawesi Selatan tersebut.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, menyampaikan apresiasi atas pelaksanaan Mubes KKSS dan PSBM yang dinilainya sebagai wadah strategis mempererat tali silaturahmi sekaligus memperkuat jaringan ekonomi masyarakat Bugis-Makassar di perantauan.
“Mubes KKSS dan PSBM ini bukan sekadar ajang pertemuan, tetapi juga menjadi momentum penting untuk merumuskan gagasan-gagasan besar demi kemajuan daerah dan bangsa, utamanya melalui kolaborasi kekuatan diaspora Bugis-Makassar di seluruh Indonesia bahkan di luar negeri,” ujar Tasming Hamid.
Ia juga mengajak seluruh peserta dan warga KKSS untuk terus berkontribusi positif bagi pembangunan daerah asal, termasuk Kota Parepare, sebagai salah satu kota strategis di kawasan Ajatappareng.
“Saya berharap peran aktif KKSS dan saudagar Bugis-Makassar semakin diperkuat dalam mendukung pengembangan ekonomi daerah, pemberdayaan UMKM, serta penguatan investasi yang berbasis kearifan lokal,” kata dia.
