NOTIFEDIA, PAREPARE — Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali menerima audiensi dari Komisioner Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) untuk priode 2023-2028.
Pertemuan ini dilaksanakan di Ruang Pertemuan Wali Kota yang terletak di lantai 2 kantor Wali Kota Parepare. Rabu, (3/1/24).
Audiensi ini menjadi momentum penting dalam menjalin kerjasama antara Pj Wali Kota dan Komisioner KPU dalam menyelenggarakan berbagai agenda pemilihan umum di kota ini.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, berbagai isu terkait persiapan dan pelaksanaan pemilihan, pembaruan teknologi, dan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dibahas secara mendalam.
Pj Wali Kota menyambut baik kehadiran Komisioner KPU dan menegaskan komitmen Pemerintah Kota Parepare untuk mendukung kelancaran proses demokrasi.
Beliau menyampaikan harapannya agar kerjasama yang baik dapat terus terjaga demi terwujudnya pemilihan umum yang transparan, adil, dan berkualitas.
Sementara itu, Muh Awal Yanto selaku Ketua KPU menyampaikan terima kasih atas dukungan Pj Wali Kota Parepare dan menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara pemerintah daerah dan lembaga penyelenggara pemilihan dalam menjamin suksesnya proses demokrasi.
Pertemuan ini juga merupakan pertemuan pertama para Komisioner KPU untuk priode 2023 – 2028 dengan cara sowan, serta menjadi ajang untuk membahas upaya pencegahan dan penanggulangan potensi pelanggaran atau ketidakberesan selama proses pemilihan.
Pj Wali Kota Parepare dan Komisioner KPU sepakat untuk bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak guna menjaga integritas dan keberhasilan pemilihan umum di Kota Parepare.
Melalui audiensi ini, diharapkan kerjasama yang erat antara Pj Wali Kota Parepare dan Komisioner KPU dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi kemajuan demokrasi dan pesta rakyat di tingkat lokal.
