Notifedia, Parepare – Pelabuhan Nusantara Kota Parepare menyambut kedatangan para wisatawan asing dari kapal pesiar mewah, Seabourn Odyssey, dengan penuh antusiasme pada Selasa (12/3/24).
Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, turut memimpin penyambutan tersebut, yang juga dihadiri oleh Sekretaris Daerah, unsur Forkopimda, Komandan Brigif 11/BS, GM Pelindo IV, dan Perwakilan dari KSOP.
Dalam suasana yang penuh kehangatan, Pj Wali Kota dan rombongan yang mengikutinya terlihat menyambut Kapten Kapal Pesiar Seabourn Odyssey dengan mengalungkan pita bunga.
Kedatangan kapal pesiar tersebut menjadi momentum penting dalam menggenjot sektor pariwisata di Kota Parepare, yang merupakan salah satu potensi besar daerah ini.
Akbar Ali sangat senang karena Pelabuhan Di Kota Parepare menjadi tempat persinggahan beberapa Kapal-kapal Pesiar termkasud kali ini kapal Seabourn Odyssey.
“Kapal Seabourn Odyssey ini mengangkut hampir 500san tourism dan kapal tersebut mempunyai 11 lantai juga di dalamnya hampir sama dengan hotel bintang lima.” Ucap Akbar.
Akbar menambahkan semoga Para wisatawan asing yang turut serta dalam pelayaran kapal pesiar tersebut diharapkan dapat menikmati keindahan alam dan kekayaan budaya yang dimiliki oleh Kota Parepare.
“Dengan demikian, diharapkan akan terjadi peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan asing ke daerah ini, yang pada gilirannya akan berdampak positif pada perekonomian lokal serta memperluas citra pariwisata Parepare di tingkat internasional.” Ujarnya.
Kehadiran Pj Wali Kota Akbar Ali dan seluruh jajaran pemerintah daerah dalam menyambut kedatangan para wisatawan asing ini menunjukkan komitmen yang kuat dari pemerintah daerah dalam mengembangkan sektor pariwisata sebagai salah satu pilar utama pembangunan ekonomi daerah.
Di tempat yg sama mewakili Kepala KSOP. Kepala Seksi Keselamatan dan Penyidikan KSOP, Niwang Damang menambahkan bahwa Kapal Pesiar Seabourn Odyssey ini dari Benoa Bali menuju ke Pelabuhan kita Parepare dan akan melanjutkan pelayaran ke Filipina.
Terkait dengan kesandaran Kapal Persiar tersebut, maka sebelumnya pihak KSOP bersama PT. Pelindo mensterilkan Pelabuhan karena Kapal Pesiar tersebut mempunyai aturan sendiri sesuai dengan negara mereka.
Sedangkan untuk jumlah penumpang di kapal tedsebut hampir kurang lebih 500san. Sekitar 31 wisatawan menuju barru di objek wisata barru, separuhnya ada yang melancong menikmati wisata di Kota Parepare dan yang selebihnya menikmati fasilitas kapal.
