Acara tahunan ini diselenggarakan di Gedung Gereja Toraja Mamasa Jemaat Paniel Parepare pada Kamis, 4 Juli 2024.
Kegiatan tersebut merupakan bagian dari agenda tahunan yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat hubungan antar jemaat dan pengurus di lingkup Sinode, serta membahas berbagai program dan kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan sepanjang tahun 2024.
Pertemuan ini juga menjadi ajang untuk saling berbagi informasi dan pengalaman, guna meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan gereja kepada jemaat.Dalam sambutannya, Julius Upa Mengapresiasi pelaksanaan Pertemuan Tahunan 2024 Persekutuan Perempuan gereja Toraja Mamasa Tingkat Sinode.
“Dalam hal ini Pemberdayaan perempuan sangat diperlukan untuk memberikan penguatan bagi perempuan dalam mengatasi masalah serta memampukan perempuan mengambil peran, dan kita ketahui bahwa bahwa perempuan-perempuan GTM sangat memiliki potensi, karena merupakan salah satu jemaat yang paling aktif di dalam pelayanan gereja.” Ujar Julius.
Dia juga menambahkan bahwa kontribusi dan peran aktif Gereja Toraja Mamasa dalam mendukung pembangunan masyarakat Parepare, khususnya dalam aspek sosial dan kemasyarakatan. penting dalam kolaborasi antara pemerintah daerah dan gereja dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang harmonis dan sejahtera.
“Kami sangat mengapresiasi peran aktif Gereja Toraja Mamasa dalam mendukung pembangunan masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang sosial dan kemasyarakatan. Kami berharap melalui pertemuan ini, hubungan baik antara pemerintah dan gereja dapat terus terjalin dan memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar bagi masyarakat,” lanjutnya.
Acara ini dihadiri oleh berbagai tokoh gereja dan masyarakat, serta para pengurus dari berbagai jemaat di lingkup Sinode Klasis Parepare dan sekitarnya.
Diskusi yang konstruktif dan penuh semangat menghiasi pertemuan ini, dengan harapan dapat menghasilkan keputusan dan program kerja yang berdampak positif bagi komunitas jemaat di masa mendatang.
