PAREPARE – Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Persatuan Lawn Tennis Indonesia (PB Pelti) Parepare, yang juga Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Parepare, M. Husni Syam, menutup secara resmi Kejuaraan Internal Tennis Club Sehati yang berlangsung di lapangan tenis Pengadilan Negeri Parepare, Kamis malam (12/9).
Penutupan ini juga dihadiri oleh Sekretaris Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Parepare, Andi Ahmad, sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap pengembangan olahraga tenis yang kini menjadi tren di kalangan warga Parepare.
Pada laga final Kejuaraan Internal Tennis Club Sehati, pasangan Angga-Ari berhasil mengalahkan pasangan Angri-Awi dengan skor 8-3. Pertandingan tersebut berlangsung sengit sebelum akhirnya dimenangkan oleh Angga-Ari. Sementara itu, juara III bersama diraih oleh pasangan Anto-Luthfi dan Aty-Lukman.
Penyerahan hadiah kepada juara I dan II dilakukan langsung oleh M. Husni Syam, sementara hadiah juara III bersama diserahkan oleh Sekretaris KONI Parepare, Andi Ahmad, yang didampingi oleh Ketua Tennis Club Sehati, Rahmat Sulaeman.M. Husni Syam menyampaikan dukungannya terhadap kegiatan ini dan menegaskan bahwa Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Parepare akan berusaha untuk mendukung setiap kegiatan olahraga yang diadakan di kota Parepare, termasuk tenis, yang kini semakin diminati oleh warga.
“Kegiatan ini sangat positif, dan hasil pertandingan ini bisa menjadi motivasi bagi klub untuk bertanding di level eksternal melawan klub-klub lain di Parepare,” ujar Husni Syam, yang merasa bangga karena olahraga tenis semakin populer di kalangan masyarakat Parepare.
Sekretaris KONI Parepare, Andi Ahmad, juga menyampaikan dukungan penuh dari KONI terhadap setiap kegiatan olahraga, termasuk tenis.
“Kami akan berusaha membantu rekan-rekan pecinta olahraga tenis, dan dengan dukungan Pemkot Parepare, kami berharap olahraga ini dapat terus berkembang,” kata Andi Ahmad, yang juga seorang penggiat olahraga tenis.
Ketua Sehati Tennis Club (STC) Parepare, Rahmat Sulaeman, atau yang akrab disapa Rasul, mengungkapkan bahwa Tennis Club Sehati memiliki puluhan anggota yang berasal dari berbagai latar belakang pekerjaan dan profesi. Klub ini telah memiliki jadwal tetap di sejumlah lapangan tenis di Parepare.
“Klub ini sangat aktif dan telah memiliki struktur kepengurusan sendiri. Klub ini dibentuk selain sebagai wadah olahraga, juga sebagai ajang silaturahmi berbagai profesi yang telah sehati dalam membangun olahraga tenis di Parepare,” ujar Rahmat.
Ajang pertandingan internal Tennis Club Sehati ini akan dijadikan agenda tahunan, dengan harapan kualitas turnamen terus meningkat tanpa mengubah tujuan utamanya, yaitu menjalin silaturahmi dan menjaga kualitas hidup melalui olahraga tenis.
