Notifedia.com, PAREPARE – Pemerintah Kota Parepare terus menunjukkan komitmennya dalam membangun sektor pendidikan melalui kolaborasi strategis dengan berbagai institusi pendidikan tinggi.
Wali Kota Parepare, H. Tasming Hamid menandatangani Kesepakatan Bersama (MoU) dengan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesejahteraan dan Sosial (STIKS) Makassar.
Penandatanganan MoU tersebut berlangsung di Aula Kampus II STIKS Tamalanrea, Makassar.
Momen ini menjadi tonggak awal kerja sama antara Pemkot Parepare dan STIKS Makassar dalam bidang pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
Wali Kota Tasming Hamid menyampaikan apresiasi atas kesiapan STIKS Makassar menjalin kolaborasi bersama Pemerintah Kota Parepare.
Eks pimpinan DPRD Parepare itu, menyebut kerja sama ini sebagai langkah positif dalam memperkuat sinergi antarlembaga guna meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia.
“Saya sangat mengapresiasi STIKS Makassar yang telah membuka ruang kerja sama ini. Pemerintah Kota Parepare sangat terbuka untuk berkolaborasi dalam pengembangan dunia pendidikan, termasuk di bidang kesejahteraan sosial,” kata Tasming Hamid. (15/7/2025)
Tasming Hamid menambahkan, Parepare sebagai kota jasa dan pendidikan sangat membutuhkan dukungan dari institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk menghasilkan tenaga profesional dan terampil yang mampu menjawab tantangan zaman.
Kerja sama ini mencakup berbagai program strategis, di antaranya penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pelatihan, riset sosial, pemberdayaan masyarakat, serta peningkatan kapasitas aparatur melalui pendidikan berkelanjutan.
Pihak STIKS Makassar pun menyambut baik kerja sama ini dan menyatakan kesiapan untuk berkontribusi secara aktif dalam mendukung pembangunan di Kota Parepare, khususnya di sektor kesejahteraan sosial dan sumber daya manusia.
