Selain catur, PPDI Parepare juga menyiapkan laga tenis meja dan bulu tangkis, mempertegas bahwa olahraga bukan hanya ajang kompetisi, tetapi juga ruang inklusi yang merayakan keberanian, kepercayaan diri, dan kebersamaan.
Namun inti dari peringatan tahun ini tidak berhenti pada ajang olahraga. Puncak kegiatan akan digelar pada tanggal 3 Desember melalui Pelatihan Mitigasi Bencana di Kantor BPBD Kota Parepare dengan tema
“Mitigasi Berkeadilan, Perlindungan Setara Bagi Penyandang Disabilitas.”
Pelatihan ini dianggap sangat penting mengingat kelompok disabilitas kerap menjadi pihak paling rentan saat terjadi bencana.
Program mitigasi ini bukan hanya transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga penguatan bahwa penyandang disabilitas berhak atas perlindungan yang sama dalam setiap situasi darurat.
