General Manager AirNav Indonesia Makassar Air Traffic Service Center (MATSC), Kristanto, menjelaskan bahwa Runway Run 2025 bukan sekadar kegiatan olahraga, melainkan wadah sosialisasi peran strategis AirNav Indonesia dalam mendukung kelancaran transportasi udara nasional.
“Runway Run 2025 ini merupakan sebuah keniscayaan. Kegiatan ini menjadi upaya AirNav Indonesia berinteraksi secara aktif dan terbuka dengan masyarakat. Selama ini masyarakat hanya mengetahui peran AirNav Indonesia di belakang layar karena proses bisnis kami memang tidak bersentuhan langsung dengan para pengguna jasa penerbangan,” ungkap Kristanto.
Tahun ini, jumlah peserta dibatasi hanya untuk 3.000 pendaftar. Selain memberikan pengalaman berlari yang berbeda, AirNav Indonesia memanfaatkan momentum Runway Run 2025 untuk mengajak masyarakat mendukung peningkatan keselamatan penerbangan.
AirNav turut mengedukasi masyarakat agar tidak melakukan aktivitas yang berpotensi membahayakan penerbangan, terutama bagi mereka yang tinggal di sekitar area bandara.
“Masih ada masyarakat yang belum memahami dengan baik bahwa bermain balon udara, layang-layang, menerbangkan drone, atau bermain laser di dekat bandara bisa menimbulkan risiko kecelakaan pesawat,” tegas Kristanto.
Ia menambahkan, konsep besar Runway Run 2025 adalah memadukan olahraga dengan kampanye keselamatan penerbangan. “Jadi, sehatnya dapat, sosialisasi dan edukasinya juga dapat,” ujarnya.
Runway Run 2025 akan berlangsung pada Minggu, 7 Desember 2025, bertempat di Benteng Fort Rotterdam, Makassar. Ajang ini menghadirkan tiga kategori lomba:

5KM Run
10KM Run
