Notifedia, Parepare — Badan Lingkungan Hidup Pemuda Pancasila (BLH) PP Kota Parepare mengungkapkan keprihatinan mendalam terkait dengan penebangan pohon yang dilakukan untuk perluasan jalan poros Parepare Sidrap.
Amri Kalbu, Ketua BLH PP, mengekspresikan kekecewaannya atas pemandangan puluhan pohon yang sebelumnya tegak berdiri, namun kini hanya meninggalkan kekosongan yang melompong. Rabu, (20/3/24).
Proyek perluasan jalan poros tersebut telah menyebabkan berbagai dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, termasuk kerusakan habitat alami dan hilangnya fungsi ekosistem yang penting bagi keberlangsungan lingkungan hidup.
Amri Kalbu menegaskan bahwa perlindungan terhadap lingkungan harus menjadi prioritas utama dalam setiap proyek pembangunan, dan tindakan penebangan pohon haruslah dipertimbangkan secara matang dengan memperhatikan dampaknya terhadap ekosistem lokal.
BLH PP juga mengajak semua pihak terkait untuk lebih berhati-hati dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan proyek pembangunan, serta mempertimbangkan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekologi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan hidup.
Diharapkan bahwa kekhawatiran yang disampaikan oleh BLH PP dapat menjadi peringatan bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk lebih memperhatikan aspek lingkungan dalam setiap kegiatan pembangunan demi terciptanya harmoni antara pembangunan dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup.
