Notifedia.com, Parepare — Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Kota Parepare resmi melepas atlet catur yang tergabung dalam Persatuan Catur Seluruh Indonesia (Percasi) Kota Parepare untuk mengikuti Pra Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Pra Porprov) Sulawesi Selatan di Kabupaten Jeneponto. Prosesi pelepasan berlangsung di Warkop Azzahra, Sabtu (27/9/2025).
Pelepasan dilakukan langsung oleh Sekretaris KONI Kota Parepare, Andi Ahmad Afandi, mewakili Ketua KONI Parepare yang tengah melakukan monitoring pada sejumlah cabang olahraga lain yang juga melaksanakan Pra Porprov di beberapa daerah.
Turut hadir dalam kesempatan tersebut Ketua Percasi Kota Parepare, Kamaluddin Kadir yang juga anggota DPRD Parepare, bersama jajaran pengurus KONI serta para atlet catur yang akan bertanding.
Dalam sambutannya, Sekretaris KONI Kota Parepare, Andi Ahmad Afandi, menyampaikan dukungan penuh dan motivasi bagi para atlet Percasi.
“Kami berharap atlet catur Parepare bisa tampil maksimal dan membawa pulang prestasi terbaik. KONI selalu siap mendukung perjuangan mereka di Pra Porprov ini,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Ketua Percasi Parepare, Kamaluddin Kadir, menegaskan optimisme timnya dalam menghadapi persaingan di Jeneponto.
“Percasi Parepare sudah mempersiapkan diri dengan matang. Kami percaya para atlet mampu menunjukkan kemampuan terbaik dan membawa nama Parepare di kancah olahraga Sulsel,” katanya.
Dengan semangat dan dukungan penuh dari KONI, Percasi Parepare diharapkan dapat mengukir prestasi dan memastikan tiket menuju Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) mendatang.
