Notifedia, Parepare — Komunitas pecinta sepeda onthel, atau yang dikenal dengan sebutan “onthelis”, turut meramaikan perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) Kota Parepare yang ke-64 dengan menggelar sebuah kegiatan spesial.
Acara yang dihadiri oleh hampir 300 pesepeda onthel dari berbagai daerah tetangga, seperti Pangkep, Pinrang, Makassar, dan tentunya Parepare sendiri, sukses menyemarakkan suasana.
Ketua Panitia Iqbal Rahim Gaani sapaan IRG mengucapkan pada Kegiatan tersebut menjadi magnet bagi para pecinta sepeda klasik di wilayah sekitar, yang turut berpartisipasi dalam merayakan momen bersejarah ini.
“Pemandangan unik dari deretan sepeda onthel yang berjejer di Taman Mattirotasi Kota Parepare menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi warga dan wisatawan yang menyaksikan acara tersebut”. Sabtu, (24/2/24).
Semntara Pj. Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, menyambut hangat kehadiran para peserta dan mengapresiasi dedikasi mereka dalam memeriahkan HUT Kota Parepare.
“Kehadiran komunitas onthel dalam perayaan ini memberikan nuansa yang berbeda dan memperkaya tradisi perayaan kota kita. Kami berterima kasih atas dukungan dan partisipasi yang luar biasa dari seluruh peserta,” ujar Akbar Ali.
Selain menjadi ajang silaturahmi antar pecinta sepeda klasik, kegiatan ini juga diisi dengan berbagai acara menarik, seperti lomba sepeda onthel tertua, pameran sepeda klasik, serta pertunjukan seni dan budaya daerah.
Semua rangkaian acara tersebut berhasil menciptakan suasana kebersamaan yang penuh semangat dan kegembiraan di tengah-tengah masyarakat Kota Parepare.
Dengan semangat yang sama, para peserta berharap agar tradisi merayakan HUT Kota Parepare dengan melibatkan komunitas-komunitas lokal dapat terus berlanjut dan menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari identitas kota ini.
Dengan demikian, semangat gotong royong dan kebersamaan akan terus dijaga dan diperkuat di Kota Parepare.
