Parepare, – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kota Parepare menggelar Rapat Pleno Terbuka untuk menetapkan pasangan calon terpilih Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Parepare dalam Pemilihan Tahun 2024.
Acara ini berlangsung di Kantor KPU Kota Parepare pada Rabu (5/2/25) dan dihadiri oleh unsur Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) Kota Parepare.
Ketua KPU Kota Parepare, Awal Yanto, menyampaikan bahwa rapat pleno ini merupakan tahapan akhir dari proses pemilihan kepala daerah di Parepare.
“Penetapan ini dilakukan setelah seluruh tahapan pemilihan berjalan sesuai aturan yang berlaku. Kami berharap pasangan calon terpilih dapat menjalankan amanah yang diberikan oleh masyarakat dengan sebaik-baiknya,” ujarnya.
Selain dihadiri oleh Forkopimda, rapat pleno ini juga melibatkan perwakilan partai politik, saksi pasangan calon, serta pihak terkait lainnya.
Suasana rapat berlangsung kondusif dengan agenda utama pembacaan keputusan KPU terkait penetapan pasangan calon terpilih.
Dengan terlaksananya rapat pleno ini, KPU Kota Parepare resmi menetapkan pasangan calon yang memperoleh suara terbanyak sebagai Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Parepare terpilih.
Selanjutnya, proses administrasi dan pelantikan akan mengikuti jadwal yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah pusat.
Masyarakat Parepare kini menantikan kepemimpinan baru yang diharapkan mampu membawa kemajuan dan kesejahteraan bagi kota ini.
