Notifedia.com, Sidrap – Pemerintah Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang menjalin kerja sama strategis dengan Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Parepare melalui penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Rabu (21/5/2025).
Penandatanganan dilakukan Bupati Sidrap, H. Syaharuddin Alrif, S.IP., MM., dan Rektor IAIN Parepare, Prof. Dr. Hannani, M. Ag., di Baruga Rujab Wakil Bupati Sidrap.
Hadir menyaksikan penandatanganan, Wakil Bupati Sidrap, Nurkanaah, SH., M.Si., Ketua DPRD Sidrap, H. Takyuddin Masse, M.Si., Kepala Kantor Kemenag Sidrap Dr. H. Muhammad Idris Usman, S.Ag., MA., dan Kadis Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Sidrap Faisal Sehuddin, S.STP., M. Adm.KP.
MoU tersebut bertujuan memperkuat sinergi dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan, penelitian dan pelatihan, pengabdian kepada masyarakat, serta pengembangan sumber daya manusia.
Rektor IAIN Parepare, Hannani, mengungkapkan pentingnya kerja sama ini, mengingat banyak mahasiswanya yang berasal dari Sidrap.
“Mahasiswa kami berjumlah 7.200 orang, dan sekitar 3.000 di antaranya berasal dari Sidrap,” ungkapnya.
Hannani juga menyampaikan apresiasi kepada para guru dan orang tua di Sidrap yang telah mempercayakan IAIN Parepare sebagai tempat pendidikan anak-anak mereka.
“Kami punya 33 program studi, enam di antaranya program pascasarjana. Insya Allah tahun ini kami buka program doktor (S3). Jadi bagi yang sudah S2, bisa menjadi pendaftar pertama,” jelasnya.
Ia menambahkan, pendidikan pascasarjana di IAIN Parepare dirancang agar dapat diselesaikan dalam dua tahun. “Kami tidak akan memberatkan, dan tantangan pendidikan ini kami tangani serius,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Bupati Sidrap, Syaharuddin Alrif, menegaskan, kerja sama ini bukan sekadar penandatanganan di atas kertas.
“Saya sudah kerja sama dengan sejumlah perguruan tinggi di Sulsel. Salah satu tujuannya, kami butuh tenaga dan pikiran baru dari mahasiswa untuk KKN dan magang di Sidrap,” jelas Syaharuddin.
Ia bahkan meminta agar jumlah mahasiswa IAIN Parepare yang menjalani KKN di Sidrap ditingkatkan menjadi 1.000 orang.
“Hampir 50 persen mahasiswa IAIN Parepare adalah anak Sidrap. UKT yang dibayarkan juga dari hasil kerja orang tua mereka di Sidrap. Maka sudah selayaknya ilmunya dibawa pulang kembali,” ujarnya.
Menurut Bupati, penempatan mahasiswa KKN ke desa-desa di Sidrap sangat penting. “Ilmu yang mereka peroleh, baik itu bahasa Arab, hukum Islam, ekonomi syariah, atau matematika, bisa diajarkan ke anak-anak kita, terutama dalam hal mengaji,” jelasnya.
Syaharuddin juga menyinggung tantangan moral dan digitalisasi yang dihadapi generasi muda saat ini.
“Kami butuh pemikiran baru untuk menghadapi tantangan perubahan mental dan moral anak-anak akibat pengaruh digital,” tegasnya.
Penandatanganan ini juga disaksikan pengurus PGRI Kabupaten Sidrap, yang dalam kesempatan itu sedang menggelar acara pelantikan.
