Notifedia.com, Makassar – Kepolisian berhasil membongkar praktik aborsi ilegal yang dilakukan oleh seorang Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) yang bekerja di salah satu puskesmas di Kota Makassar. Pria bernama Syamsul itu diamankan bersama dua orang perempuan, masing-masing berinisial C dan R, yang diduga turut terlibat dalam aktivitas terlarang tersebut.
Kapolrestabes Makassar melalui keterangan pers menjelaskan bahwa penangkapan terhadap ketiganya merupakan hasil dari pengembangan laporan masyarakat serta penyelidikan intensif selama beberapa waktu terakhir.
“Benar, kami telah mengamankan tiga orang terduga pelaku. Syamsul adalah pelaku utama, yang juga seorang ASN di salah satu puskesmas di Makassar. Sementara dua lainnya adalah perempuan berinisial C dan R,” ungkap seorang pejabat kepolisian yang enggan disebutkan namanya.
Dari hasil interogasi awal, perempuan berinisial C diketahui sebagai pihak yang telah menggunakan jasa aborsi ilegal yang dilakukan oleh Syamsul. Ia disebut-sebut merupakan mahasiswa program magister (S2) di salah satu universitas negeri ternama di Kota Makassar. Keterlibatan perempuan R, yang diketahui adalah teman dekat C, terjadi karena R berperan sebagai penghubung antara C dengan pelaku utama Syamsul.
Praktik aborsi yang dijalankan oleh Syamsul tergolong sistematis dan terorganisir. Alih-alih melakukan praktik di lokasi tetap, pelaku justru memilih cara berpindah-pindah lokasi untuk menghindari deteksi pihak berwenang. Salah satu modus yang digunakan adalah dengan mendatangi langsung calon pasien atau “klien” di hotel.
“Pelaku bernama Syamsul biasa mendatangi langsung tempat pasiennya, kebanyakan dilakukan di hotel. Ini yang menjadi perhatian kami karena praktik ini dilakukan secara sembunyi-sembunyi dan berpindah-pindah,” ujar sumber kepolisian tersebut.
Untuk satu kali praktik aborsi, Syamsul mematok tarif bervariasi, yakni antara Rp2,5 juta hingga Rp5 juta, tergantung kondisi dan permintaan dari pihak yang bersangkutan. Uang pembayaran dilakukan secara tunai atau melalui transfer rekening.
Saat ini ketiga terduga pelaku telah diamankan di Mapolrestabes Makassar untuk menjalani pemeriksaan lebih lanjut. Pihak kepolisian masih mendalami peran masing-masing, serta kemungkinan keterlibatan pihak lain dalam jaringan praktik aborsi ilegal ini.
“Kami masih melakukan pendalaman lebih lanjut. Tidak menutup kemungkinan ada pelaku lain atau korban lain yang pernah menggunakan jasa ini. Kami juga sedang menelusuri apakah pelaku sudah pernah melakukan praktik serupa sebelumnya,” kata pejabat kepolisian tersebut.
Kasus ini memunculkan keprihatinan masyarakat, mengingat pelaku utama adalah seorang tenaga medis yang semestinya memahami kode etik profesi serta hukum yang mengatur larangan praktik aborsi tanpa indikasi medis yang sah.
Pihak kepolisian menegaskan akan menindak tegas setiap praktik aborsi ilegal karena selain melanggar hukum, tindakan tersebut juga berbahaya bagi keselamatan jiwa perempuan yang menjadi korban
