Parepare – Pj Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali dengan bangga menerima kedatangan Mahasiswa KKN Tematik Gelombang 112 Universitas Hasanuddin di Auditorium BJ Habibie, Rumah Jabatan Wali Kota Parepare. Kamis, (4/7/24).
Dalam sambutannya, Akbar Ali menyampaikan apresiasi yang tinggi terhadap semangat dan dedikasi para mahasiswa dalam mengikuti program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini.
“Kami sangat berterima kasih atas kehadiran para mahasiswa yang siap mengabdikan diri dan berkontribusi untuk kemajuan masyarakat Parepare. Program KKN Tematik ini sangat penting dalam memperkuat sinergi antara dunia akademik dan pemerintahan daerah,” ujarnya.
Peran Perguruan Tinggi sangat penting dalam pencapaian target pembangunan di daerah, karena itu sinergitas antara pemerintah dan perguruan tinggi sangat dibutuhkan.
Lanjutnya dalam menghadapi persaingan global dibutuhkan SDM yang memiliki kemampuan intelektual, termasuk dalam menjalankan birokrasi di pemerintahan.
“Pemerintah daerah harus dikelola oleh SDM yang cerdas. Untuk menghasilkan SDM berkualitas tersebut kampus atau perguruan tinggi adalah tempatnya.” Ucapnya.
Sebanyak 112 mahasiswa dari berbagai fakultas di Universitas Hasanuddin akan menjalani KKN Tematik di Parepare dengan fokus pada berbagai aspek pembangunan, seperti pemberdayaan masyarakat, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan lingkungan.
Selain itu, Pj Wali Kota Parepare juga berharap bahwa pengalaman ini akan menjadi bekal berharga bagi para mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan di masa depan.
“Kami berharap para mahasiswa dapat mengambil banyak pelajaran dari pengalaman ini dan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta karir profesional mereka nanti,” tambahnya.
Acara penerimaan ini dihadiri oleh sejumlah pejabat pemerintah daerah, dosen pembimbing, serta para mahasiswa.
Kegiatan KKN ini akan berlangsung kurang lebih 45 Hari dengan berbagai program kerja yang telah direncanakan untuk memberikan manfaat maksimal bagi masyarakat.
Dengan semangat kolaborasi dan dedikasi, diharapkan program KKN Tematik Gelombang 112 Universitas Hasanuddin ini akan membawa perubahan positif dan memperkuat hubungan antara Universitas Hasanuddin dan Pemerintah Kota Parepare.
