Parepare — Mengawali aktivitas pada Rabu (5/03/2025), Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, bersama Wakil Wali Kota Parepare, Hermanto, melakukan pemantauan harga bahan pokok di Pasar Lakessi dan gudang distributor di Jalan Bambu Runcing. Kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk memastikan harga tetap stabil serta menjamin ketersediaan stok bagi masyarakat selama Ramadan.
Langkah ini merupakan bagian dari upaya Pemerintah Kota Parepare dalam menjaga kesejahteraan warga di tengah meningkatnya permintaan bahan pokok selama bulan suci. Wali Kota Tasming Hamid menegaskan bahwa pemantauan ini sangat penting untuk mengantisipasi lonjakan harga serta memastikan distribusi bahan pokok berjalan lancar.
“Kami ingin memastikan harga bahan pokok tetap stabil dan tidak ada lonjakan yang memberatkan masyarakat, terutama di bulan Ramadan ini. Pemerintah terus berkoordinasi dengan distributor dan pedagang agar stok tetap aman,” ujar TSM Dalam kunjungan tersebut.
Tasming Hamid menegaskan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Parepare siap mengambil langkah strategis jika ditemukan indikasi kenaikan harga yang tidak wajar.
Salah satu langkah yang dapat dilakukan adalah operasi pasar murah guna menekan harga dan memastikan masyarakat tetap mendapatkan kebutuhan pokok dengan harga yang wajar.
“Jika ada lonjakan harga yang signifikan, kami siap melakukan intervensi, baik melalui operasi pasar maupun koordinasi dengan pihak terkait untuk menekan harga agar tetap terjangkau,” jelasnya.
Selain itu, Pemkot Parepare juga terus menjalin komunikasi dengan distributor untuk memastikan pasokan bahan pokok tidak terganggu. Dengan demikian, kelangkaan stok yang dapat memicu kenaikan harga bisa dihindari.
Tasming Hamid berharap, dengan adanya pemantauan rutin ini, masyarakat dapat menjalani ibadah Ramadan dengan tenang tanpa terbebani harga kebutuhan pokok yang tinggi.
Ia menegaskan bahwa Pemkot Parepare berkomitmen untuk menjaga stabilitas ekonomi dan kesejahteraan warga melalui berbagai program ketahanan pangan.
Pemantauan harga ini juga menjadi bagian dari kebijakan Pemerintah Kota Parepare dalam mengantisipasi dampak inflasi yang kerap terjadi selama bulan Ramadan.
Sejumlah langkah preventif seperti subsidi harga bahan pokok, kerja sama dengan Bulog, serta pengawasan ketat terhadap spekulan akan terus dilakukan demi menjaga keseimbangan ekonomi masyarakat.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Wali Kota Parepare didampingi oleh jajaran Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) serta sejumlah kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD). Kehadiran para pejabat ini menunjukkan sinergi antara pemerintah daerah dan instansi terkait dalam menjaga stabilitas harga dan pasokan bahan pokok di Parepare.
Pedagang dan masyarakat yang hadir di Pasar Lakessi menyambut baik langkah pemerintah ini. Mereka berharap dengan adanya pengawasan langsung dari wali kota, harga bahan pokok dapat tetap stabil dan tidak mengalami lonjakan yang dapat memberatkan masyarakat, khususnya kalangan menengah ke bawah.
“Kami senang melihat Pak Wali turun langsung ke pasar. Harapannya, harga tetap stabil dan tidak ada kenaikan yang merugikan kami sebagai pedagang kecil maupun pembeli,” ujar salah satu pedagang di Pasar Lakessi.
Setelah melakukan pemantauan harga di pasar dan gudang distributor, Wali Kota Tasming Hamid dijadwalkan menerima kunjungan Direktur Jenderal (Dirjen) Cipta Karya Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) di Stadion BJ Habibie.
