Parepare – Dalam rangka memperingati Hari AIDS Sedunia 2024, Rumah Sakit Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Parepare menggelar penyuluhan HIV/AIDS dengan tema “Hak Setara untuk Semua, Bersama Kita Bisa.”
Acara ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang HIV/AIDS, menghapus stigma, serta mendorong kesadaran akan pentingnya akses layanan kesehatan yang setara bagi semua orang. Minggu, (1/12/24).
Penyuluhan yang berlangsung di aula utama rumah sakit ini dihadiri oleh tenaga medis, pasien, dan masyarakat umum. Beberapa ahli kesehatan dan aktivis HIV/AIDS turut hadir sebagai narasumber, memberikan edukasi tentang pencegahan, penanganan, serta pentingnya dukungan bagi orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA).
Dalam sambutannya, Direktur RS Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie dr. Mahyuddin Rasyid, Sp. B, FINACES, FICS menyampaikan bahwa momen ini menjadi pengingat untuk terus berkomitmen dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan tanpa diskriminasi.
“HIV/AIDS bukan hanya persoalan medis, tetapi juga persoalan sosial. Melalui penyuluhan ini, kami berharap masyarakat Parepare lebih peduli dan mendukung ODHA agar mereka dapat hidup sehat dan bermartabat,” ujarnya.
Acara ini juga dimeriahkan dengan sesi tanya jawab, diskusi panel, serta penyebaran materi edukasi berupa brosur dan poster. Selain itu, layanan tes HIV gratis juga disediakan bagi peserta yang ingin mengetahui status kesehatannya. Salah satu peserta, Andi Fitri, mengapresiasi inisiatif rumah sakit ini.
“Kegiatan seperti ini sangat membantu kami memahami pentingnya pencegahan dan menghilangkan rasa takut atau malu untuk memeriksakan diri,” ungkapnya.
Hari AIDS Sedunia yang diperingati setiap 1 Desember merupakan momentum global untuk terus menggaungkan pentingnya akses kesehatan yang inklusif.
Dengan mengusung tema “Hak Setara untuk Semua, Bersama Kita Bisa,” masyarakat diingatkan bahwa setiap orang berhak mendapatkan layanan kesehatan yang berkualitas tanpa diskriminasi, termasuk mereka yang hidup dengan HIV/AIDS.
Melalui kegiatan ini, RS Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie Parepare berharap dapat menjadi bagian dari upaya global dalam melawan HIV/AIDS sekaligus memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat lokal. Upaya ini menunjukkan bahwa bersama-sama, kita dapat menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih inklusif, peduli, dan sehat.
