Parepare, – Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Kota Parepare mulai memasuki masa reses yang berlangsung selama tiga hari, dari 22 hingga 24 Februari 2025.
Masa reses ini menjadi kesempatan bagi para wakil rakyat untuk turun langsung ke daerah pemilihan (dapil) mereka, bertemu dengan masyarakat, serta menampung berbagai aspirasi dan permasalahan yang ada di lapangan.
Sekretaris DPRD Kota Parepare, Arifuddin, menjelaskan bahwa reses merupakan bagian dari agenda resmi dalam masa persidangan ke II tahun 2025.
“Kegiatan reses ini adalah ajang bagi anggota DPRD untuk lebih dekat dengan konstituen mereka, sekaligus turun menyerap aspirasi. Ini merupakan salah satu kewajiban mereka sebagai wakil rakyat,” ujar Arifuddin pada Jumat (21/02/2025).
Menurutnya, kegiatan ini menjadi momentum penting untuk membangun komunikasi dua arah antara masyarakat dan anggota dewan.
Masyarakat diberikan ruang untuk menyampaikan langsung berbagai permasalahan yang mereka hadapi, mulai dari infrastruktur, pendidikan, kesehatan, hingga ekonomi.
Dalam pelaksanaan reses ini, setiap anggota DPRD akan mengunjungi daerah pemilihannya masing-masing. Mereka akan berdialog dengan masyarakat, mendengarkan berbagai keluhan, serta mencatat aspirasi yang nantinya akan diperjuangkan dalam sidang DPRD maupun disampaikan kepada pemerintah daerah.
“Selama tiga hari mendatang, anggota DPRD Kota Parepare akan kembali ke dapil masing-masing untuk menyerap aspirasi dan mendengar langsung apa keluhan dan usulan warga,” lanjut Arifuddin yang juga dikenal sebagai mantan Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Parepare.
Kegiatan reses ini diharapkan dapat menjadi jembatan yang efektif antara masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah. Dengan adanya komunikasi langsung ini, anggota DPRD dapat lebih memahami kondisi di lapangan dan merumuskan solusi yang lebih tepat sasaran.
Arifuddin menambahkan bahwa hasil dari reses ini akan dikaji dan dibahas dalam sidang DPRD untuk kemudian disampaikan kepada pemerintah kota agar dapat segera ditindaklanjuti.
“Kami berharap, aspirasi yang disampaikan masyarakat dapat menjadi acuan bagi kebijakan-kebijakan yang akan datang, sehingga benar-benar berpihak kepada kepentingan rakyat,” katanya.
Selain itu, ia juga mengingatkan kepada masyarakat agar aktif berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan reses ini.
“Kami mengajak warga Parepare untuk memanfaatkan kesempatan ini dengan baik. Sampaikan aspirasi, keluhan, dan harapan kepada para anggota dewan. Ini adalah waktu yang tepat untuk menyuarakan kebutuhan masyarakat secara langsung,” tambahnya.
Dalam setiap masa reses, DPRD Kota Parepare selalu berkomitmen untuk menjadikan suara masyarakat sebagai dasar dalam penyusunan program kerja dan kebijakan daerah.
Anggota dewan juga berupaya memastikan bahwa setiap aspirasi yang masuk tidak hanya dicatat, tetapi juga diperjuangkan agar dapat terealisasi.
Masyarakat Parepare pun menyambut baik kegiatan reses ini. Salah satu warga, Andi Rahman, mengungkapkan harapannya agar aspirasi warga benar-benar didengar dan ditindaklanjuti.
“Kami ingin ada perubahan nyata. Banyak permasalahan yang kami hadapi sehari-hari, dan kami berharap anggota dewan bisa membawa suara kami ke pemerintah,” ujarnya.
