Notifedia.com, Makassar – Polda Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) menggelar konferensi pers terkait pengungkapan kasus penipuan online di Aula Mappaodang Mapolda Sulsel, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Kota Makassar, pada Jumat malam, 26 April 2025, pukul 19.00 WITA.
Kegiatan tersebut dipimpin oleh Dirkrimsus Kombes Pol Dedi Supriyadi, Kabidhumas Kombes Pol Didik Supranoto, dan Kabidpropram Kombes Pol Zulham, serta dihadiri oleh 20 wartawan dari berbagai media.
Dalam konferensi pers tersebut, Kabidhumas Kombes Pol Didik Supranoto mengungkapkan bahwa pihak penyidik Krimsus Polda Sulsel telah menerima 40 orang terduga pelaku penipuan online yang sebelumnya diamankan oleh Kodam XIV/Hasanuddin.
“Dari 40 orang yang diamankan, setelah dilakukan analisa digital terhadap 20 dari 144 unit HP dan 5 laptop yang disita, tiga orang di antaranya dinaikkan statusnya ke tahap penyidikan,” jelas Kombes Pol Didik.
Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan digital forensik, ditemukan 41 korban terkait kasus ini. Namun, hingga saat ini, hanya tiga orang korban yang bersedia membuat laporan resmi ke polisi.
Oleh karena itu, proses hukum baru dapat dilanjutkan terhadap tiga terduga pelaku, sementara 37 lainnya dipulangkan ke keluarganya dengan ketentuan wajib lapor sambil menunggu perkembangan laporan tambahan dari korban lainnya.
Pihak Polda Sulsel juga mengungkapkan bahwa modus operandi para pelaku meliputi penipuan jual beli HP, investasi dalam negeri, dan investasi luar negeri. Korban-korban tersebut berasal dari luar Provinsi Sulsel, antara lain dari Jawa Timur, Semarang, dan Pontianak.
Sementara itu, Dirkrimsus Kombes Pol Dedi Supriyadi menambahkan bahwa pihaknya baru menerima pelimpahan pelaku dari Kodam XIV/Hasanuddin, sehingga tidak terlibat dalam proses penangkapan awal.
Ia menegaskan bahwa penanganan kasus ini tergolong delik aduan, sehingga keberlanjutan proses hukum sangat bergantung pada adanya laporan dari para korban.
“Tiga terduga pelaku yang telah dinaikkan ke tahap penyidikan dikenakan Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE), sementara 37 lainnya dikenakan wajib lapor di Polres masing-masing,” terang Kombes Dedi.
Meski demikian, dalam konferensi pers tersebut, Polda Sulsel belum mengungkap secara rinci mengenai siapa otak di balik kelompok penipuan online ini.
Pihak kepolisian membuka peluang untuk menambah jumlah tersangka apabila di kemudian hari ada korban tambahan yang bersedia melapor dan memberikan kesaksian.
