Notifedia.com, Parepare — Reputasi Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) Kelas IIA Kota Parepare kembali tercoreng. Setelah sebelumnya ramai diberitakan sebagai sarang peredaran narkotika, kini lembaga pemasyarakatan tersebut kembali terseret dalam skandal penipuan online bermodus jual beli solar yang dikendalikan langsung oleh narapidana dari balik jeruji.
Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Satreskrim) Polres Sidrap melalui Unit Resmob berhasil mengungkap aksi kejahatan yang mengakibatkan kerugian puluhan juta rupiah. Pengungkapan ini dipimpin langsung oleh Kasat Reskrim Polres Sidrap, AKP Setiawan Sunarto, pada Senin, 27 Mei 2025.
Dalam keterangan resminya, AKP Setiawan menjelaskan bahwa kasus ini berawal dari laporan warga Kelurahan Bila Riase, Kecamatan Pitu Riase, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang.
Korban berinisial RY (50), warga Kota Parepare, mengaku ditipu setelah mengirim 5.000 liter solar senilai Rp67,4 juta ke lokasi yang disepakati. Usai pembongkaran, korban menerima dokumen bukti transfer (RTGS) yang belakangan diketahui palsu setelah diverifikasi ke Bank Danamon.
Pelaku utama dalam kasus ini adalah FA (34), narapidana asal Kabupaten Sidrap yang sedang menjalani hukuman sembilan tahun penjara atas kasus penyalahgunaan narkotika. Ironisnya, FA mampu mengatur seluruh skema penipuan ini dari dalam Lapas Kelas IIA Kota Parepare, menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp dan rekening pihak ketiga.
Salah satu saksi, BR (45), juga menjadi korban modus serupa. Ia mentransfer Rp19 juta kepada pelaku dan menerima pengiriman solar sesuai pesanan. Namun, setelahnya, transaksi fiktif dan penggelapan dana terungkap.
Pada Minggu, 26 Mei 2025, Tim Resmob Polres Sidrap melakukan penyisiran di dalam Lapas Parepare. Hasilnya, dua unit ponsel dan beberapa dokumen transaksi ditemukan di tangan FA. Saat diperiksa, FA mengakui semua perbuatannya.
Temuan ini menambah panjang daftar persoalan yang membelit Lapas Kelas IIA Kota Parepare. Setelah sebelumnya dikaitkan dengan transaksi narkotika dalam lapas, kini penipuan daring berskala puluhan juta rupiah turut dikendalikan dari dalam tembok lembaga pemasyarakatan ini.
Kondisi ini menimbulkan pertanyaan besar: bagaimana mungkin seorang napi kasus narkoba dapat dengan bebas mengakses alat komunikasi dan menjalankan operasi penipuan dari balik jeruji? Minimnya pengawasan serta lemahnya komitmen dalam memberantas praktik ilegal di dalam lapas disebut-sebut sebagai akar permasalahan.
“Mestinya lapas itu tempat pembinaan, bukan markas kejahatan yang dilindungi tembok tinggi,” keluh seorang warga Parepare yang enggan disebut namanya.
Atas keberhasilan pengungkapan ini, masyarakat memberikan apresiasi kepada jajaran Polres Sidrap. Tindakan cepat, investigasi cermat, dan penyisiran lapas menjadi bukti bahwa penegakan hukum tetap berjalan meskipun praktik kriminal mencoba bersembunyi di balik sistem yang longgar.

Masyarakat kini mendesak agar Kementerian Hukum dan HAM segera melakukan evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap Lapas Kota Parepare. Reformasi total dan penindakan tegas terhadap oknum di dalam lapas yang memungkinkan terjadinya kejahatan menjadi tuntutan yang tidak bisa lagi diabaikan.
