PAREPARE — Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid memimpin rapat koordinasi monitoring dan evaluasi (monev) pelaksanaan kegiatan pembangunan triwulan I Tahun Anggaran 2025, yang berlangsung di Ruang Pola Kantor Wali Kota Parepare, Rabu (9/4/2025).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Tasming Hamid mengatakan Pemerintah Kota Parepare terus mendorong penguatan kemandirian daerah dalam menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan anggaran.
Tasming juga menegaskan perlunya strategi pengelolaan anggaran yang efektif dan efisien, sekaligus mendorong optimalisasi potensi sumber daya lokal untuk memperkuat Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD).
“Keterbatasan anggaran menjadi tantangan bersama. Namun ini juga menjadi pekerjaan rumah besar bagi kita semua untuk memperkuat kemandirian daerah. Potensi yang ada harus dimaksimalkan untuk meningkatkan PAD, sehingga kita tidak selalu bergantung pada anggaran dari pusat,” tegas Tasming.
Ia menambahkan, seluruh aset daerah yang memiliki nilai ekonomis harus dioptimalkan pemanfaatannya demi mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah sekaligus memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat.
“Jika aset-aset daerah dapat memberikan kontribusi untuk PAD dan memberi manfaat bagi masyarakat, tentu harus kita kelola dan manfaatkan dengan baik,” ujarnya.
Selain itu, dalam rapat tersebut, Wali Kota Tasming juga menyoroti sejumlah persoalan yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian serius, di antaranya pengelolaan parkir yang dinilai masih belum maksimal, pembenahan infrastruktur Pasar Lakessi, serta penanganan isu strategis lainnya seperti inflasi, stunting, dan kemiskinan ekstrem
