Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, bersama Wakil Wali Kota, Hermanto, didampingi Plh Sekda Parepare, Amarun Agung Hamka yang juga Kepala DPPKB Parepare menyambut kedatangan rombongan Kirab Bangga Kencana. Kegiatan tersebut turut dihadiri unsur Forkopimda dan jajaran OPD terkait.
Dalam sambutannya, Shodiqin mengapresiasi dukungan penuh Pemerintah Kota Parepare terhadap program Bangga Kencana. Ia menilai, kehadiran kepala daerah dan jajaran dalam penyambutan ini mencerminkan komitmen nyata dalam mendukung program pembangunan keluarga.
“Kami menyampaikan terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada Pemerintah Kota Parepare atas sambutan dan dukungan luar biasa. Kehadiran Bapak Wali Kota, Wakil Wali Kota, serta unsur Forkopimda menjadi bukti nyata komitmen terhadap program Bangga Kencana,” ujar Shodiqin.
Sementara itu, Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, dalam sambutannya menyatakan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Parepare menyambut hangat dan antusias pelaksanaan Kirab Bangga Kencana. Ia menekankan pentingnya peran keluarga sebagai fondasi dalam membentuk karakter generasi bangsa.
“Keluarga adalah pondasi utama dalam membangun moral dan karakter generasi penerus bangsa. Karena itu, kami sangat mendukung penuh program Bangga Kencana, terutama dalam upaya percepatan penurunan angka stunting di Kota Parepare,” kata Tasming.
Ia menambahkan, stunting merupakan isu prioritas nasional yang mendapat perhatian khusus dari Presiden RI, yang telah menginstruksikan seluruh kepala daerah untuk serius menangani masalah ini.
Lebih lanjut, Tasming menegaskan bahwa Kirab Bangga Kencana bukan sekadar kegiatan seremonial, tetapi momentum penting untuk membangun kesadaran kolektif tentang peran strategis keluarga dalam pembangunan nasional.
“Kami yakin, sinergi dan kolaborasi yang kita bangun hari ini akan memberikan dampak positif dalam menciptakan keluarga yang tangguh, sehat, dan sejahtera di Kota Parepare,” ungkapnya.
Dalam rangkaian kegiatan tersebut, juga dilakukan pengukuhan Kader Gerakan Ayah Teladan Indonesia (GATI) Kota Parepare. Wali Kota Tasming Hamid dan Wakil Wali Kota Hermanto turut dikukuhkan sebagai Pembina Kader GATI, sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap peran ayah dalam penguatan ketahanan keluarga.
