Notifedia.com, Parepare – Ketua DPRD Kota Parepare, Kaharuddin Kadir, mendampingi kunjungan kerja Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam (Dirjen Pendis) Kementerian Agama RI, Prof. Amien Suyitno, di Kota Parepare, Senin (6/10/2025).
Kunjungan tersebut meliputi tiga agenda utama: pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis untuk santri, peletakan batu pertama pembangunan asrama, serta penguatan kelembagaan madrasah.
Agenda pertama berlangsung di Pondok Pesantren DDI Ujung Lare melalui pelaksanaan Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis (PKG), program prioritas Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto. Sekitar 200 santri mengikuti pemeriksaan yang dilakukan tim medis dari UPTD Puskesmas Lakessi.
“Ini amanah langsung dari Bapak Presiden. Kami ingin setiap santri memiliki rekam medis sehingga dapat dimitigasi bila terjadi sesuatu,” ujar Prof. Amien Suyitno.
Kegiatan kemudian berlanjut di Ponpes Zubdatul Asrar NU, yang sebelumnya mengalami kebakaran pada 23 Agustus 2025 dan menghanguskan tiga bangunan asrama. Dirjen Pendis, didampingi Ketua DPRD Kaharuddin Kadir serta Kepala Kemenag Parepare Fitriadi, melakukan peletakan batu pertama pembangunan kembali fasilitas tersebut.
Rangkaian kunjungan ditutup dengan kegiatan penguatan kelembagaan madrasah di MAN 2 Parepare, yang dihadiri ratusan guru madrasah. Dalam arahannya, Prof. Amien menekankan pentingnya ketulusan dalam mengabdi sebagai pendidik.
“Tanpa cinta, guru tidak akan tahan berada di madrasah atau pondok pesantren,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Kaharuddin Kadir menyampaikan dukungan pemerintah daerah terhadap pendidikan Islam melalui program seragam sekolah gratis bagi seluruh jenjang, termasuk madrasah MI dan MTs.
“Program ini mencakup seluruh jenjang, termasuk madrasah. Kami pastikan ini menyentuh semua lapisan,” ujarnya disambut tepuk tangan para guru.
Kaharuddin mengapresiasi kunjungan Dirjen Pendis yang dinilai membawa semangat baru bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam di Parepare.
“Ini berkah bagi dunia pendidikan Islam, khususnya bagi para guru madrasah di Parepare,” pungkasnya.
