Acara pengembalian formulir pendaftaran ini diselenggarakan dengan khidmat di Kantor Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) PAN Kota Parepare yang di terima oleh Sekertaris DPD PAN Kota Parepare, Safar Muchtar serta Ketua Penjaringan Bakal Calon Wali Kota Parepare, Muharram Muchtar.
H. Surianto, yang didampingi oleh pengurusnya di Partai Gerindra Kota Parepare, sedikit beristory akan dirinya dengan Partai PAN dan juga menyampaikan komitmennya untuk memajukan Kota Parepare melalui jalur politik.
“Saya ini di PAN adalah keluarga, kenapa saya katakan begitu karena saya pernah di beri amanah menjabat sebagai ketua Partai DPD PAN di Tanah Bumbu Kalimantan, juga pernah duduk di DPRD dua priode melalui Partai PAN.” Ujarnya.
Kehadiran tokoh politik yang berpengalaman seperti H. Surianto memberikan warna baru dalam peta politik Kota Parepare.
Dengan langkah ini, H. Surianto memperlihatkan keinginannya untuk bersaing secara demokratis dalam pemilihan kepala daerah mendatang.
“Meskipun belum ada intruksi dari Partai di Pusat namun saya dan tim hanya mengambil dan mengembalikan formulir pendaftaran sambil menunggu intruksi Partai gerindra seperti apa.” Lanjutnya.
