Parepare – Hujan deras disertai angin kencang yang melanda Kota Parepare beberapa hari terakhir telah menyebabkan sejumlah bencana, termasuk pohon tumbang, longsor, dan banjir di beberapa titik. Kejadian ini membuat aktivitas masyarakat terganggu, bahkan memaksa beberapa warga untuk dievakuasi.
Pohon tumbang dilaporkan terjadi di sekitar kawasan Dekat Lapan, Soreang, Kota Parepare, yang sempat menghalangi akses jalan di wilayah tersebut. Sementara itu, banjir melanda beberapa kawasan permukiman, seperti di perumahan dekat SMA Negeri 5 serta daerah Tegal. Sabtu, (21/12/24).
Selain itu, kenaikan debit air terlihat di beberapa jembatan besar, seperti Jembatan Lapadde, Jawi-Jawi, Jembatan Kembar, dan Jembatan Sumpang. Kondisi ini meningkatkan kewaspadaan warga, mengingat potensi banjir yang dapat meluas.
Bencana ini juga memicu tanggapan cepat dari tim penyelamatan. Tim SAR Brimob, Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD), Pemadam Kebakaran (Damkar), serta Call Center Parepare telah diterjunkan untuk membantu proses evakuasi warga terdampak.
Warga dihimbau untuk tetap waspada dan segera melaporkan jika membutuhkan bantuan evakuasi. Informasi dan laporan dapat disampaikan melalui layanan darurat yang telah disediakan oleh pemerintah setempat.
Hingga berita ini diturunkan, tim penyelamat masih terus melakukan upaya penanganan di sejumlah lokasi terdampak. Pemerintah Kota Parepare juga mengimbau masyarakat untuk menghindari area rawan bencana dan terus memantau perkembangan cuaca.
