Notifedia, Balikpapan – Sebuah kunjungan penting telah dilakukan oleh rombongan Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Parepare ke kawasan Ibu Kota Nusantara, Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur pada Jumat, 3 Mei 2024.
Penjabat Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, memimpin rombongan yang terdiri dari jajaran pemerintah, Wakil Ketua DPRD, serta tokoh-tokoh pengusaha. Mereka tiba di Balikpapan untuk menjalin kerjasama dan memperkuat hubungan antar-daerah.
Kunjungan tersebut merupakan bagian dari upaya Pemkot Parepare untuk memperluas jejaring dan mendapatkan berbagai perspektif dalam pengembangan kota mereka.
Rombongan diterima langsung oleh perwakilan Otorita IKN di Ruang Rapat Lantai 1 Tower 8, kantor bersama PUPR.
Akbar Ali mengatakan, sengaja mengajak seluruh eselon II dan pengusaha di Parepare untuk ikut kunjungan kerja di IKN.
“Kita ingin mereka membuka cakrawala dan wawasannya untuk mencari potensi apa yang bisa dikembangkan dan dipadukan dengan apa yang dimiliki Kota Parepare,” pungkasnya.
Menurutnya, kunjungan kerja di IKN untuk melihat peluang dan membuka akses ekonomi Parepare sebagai daerah penghubung ke Kalimantan.
“Kita punya pelabuhan yang menjadi penopang ekonomi di Kota Parepare, dan sebagai pintu masuk suplai pangan untuk IKN,” ungkapnya.
Sementara, Analis Kebijakan Madya Deputi Pengendalian Pembangunan Otorita IKN, Karnilus Manek menyampaikan apresiasinya atas kunjungan rombongan dari Pemkot Parepare.
Dirinya juga menjelaskan kondisi pembangunan dan potensi yang dapat menjadi peluang kerja sama IKN dan Parepare.
“Pembangunan di IKN masih berproses, akses dan peluang kerja sama terbuka lebar, sehingga kita harap daerah sekitar dapat merumuskan RMPJMD,” katanya.
Menurut dia, sebagai daerah yang memiliki pelabuhan, kebutuhan pembangunan IKN seperti pangan, material maupun Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dapat disuplai dari Parepare, sehingga memiliki peluang yang lebih besar.
“Kedatangan Pemkot Parepare di IKN merupakan wujud perhatian, sehingga kita berharap agar ditindaklanjuti dan mengambil langkah untuk bersinergi mendukung Ibu Kota masa depan,” tandasnya.
Dalam kesempatan itu juga, rombongan dari pemerintah Kota Parepare diajak melihat langsung ruangan Nusantara Command Center sebagi pusat data dan informasi pembangunan IKN.
